Me too. Nobody ever did manage to produce any justification to me for it being necessary for people to gather together in one building a specified times and work their way through a prescribed form of words week after week; surely it would be more productive to be out and about putting the principles of the religion in question into practice?

Ditto also with praising. Given traditions of British reticence, it still seems to me incredibly immodest for a deity to expect that his followers get together regularly to tell him how wonderful he is.

There are brave souls (qualified lawyers) on Twitter who have downloaded her submissions made late Wednesday, and basically live tweet their read through of each section with comments. Court filings are dull as ditchwater and incomprehensible to most people, but some of these discussions are really interesting, and in places extremely funny. I've just finished reading a humongous long thread dissecting her Michigan filing, written while simultaneously cooking and eating Thanksgiving turkey (with cooking tips) His conclusion is that any judge will be very displeased to be presented with such a document. Her filing seems to be full of cut and pastes that went wrong but were left in, resulting in sections where whole strings of words had no gaps between them, creating word salad. "Facts" without citations, references to subsections of legislation that doesn't exist. Quoted affadvits that required a tracker dog to locate (no table of contents provided). Expert Witnesses with no qualifications provided, and Star Witness whose name is not only redacted, she wants to only reveal his identity to the judge but not to defendants legal team. The whole thing has the air of having been produced by Powell being under the influence of mind altering substances. The reader's commentary repeatedly included the word "sanctionable" which is believe is the correct word for a lawyer getting the book thrown at them.

Anyway, the dirty secret is almost all "drug" deaths aren't exactly. If you can get a good supply of decent shit, then you're fairly safe. It's only when you have to go to the street - where goodness knows what gets cut with I dread to think - that you start getting the sad sordid death of a junky. I am firmly of the opinion that prohibition - the "cure" - has been responsible for far more deaths than the "illness". Thank you Mr. Nixon.
