Pooh is the bear- Winnie the Pooh.

Poo is shit.

💯

Couldn't agree more! I can't stand this kinda shit 🤣

HardAsSnails · 11/11/2020 20:11

Err, no, it's not.

The use of 'poo' is quite recent IME.

MaskingForIt · 11/11/2020 20:12

But the vair naice ladies of Mumsnet couldn’t actually write “poo” though, so have to cutesy it up by calling it “pooh”. So people know how naice they are.

Kleptronic · 11/11/2020 20:15

YANBU

WillSantaBeComingToTown · 11/11/2020 20:16

it is excrement or faeces

vanillandhoney · 11/11/2020 20:16

Agreed!

Can't stand the word "pooh" when not talking about the honey-obsessed bear.

PiperPiper20 · 11/11/2020 20:17

Agree.

ReggaetonLente · 11/11/2020 20:17

Agreed. 'Pooh', 'poohing' or 'poohed' are all horrendous.

FractionalGains · 11/11/2020 20:19

Can I interject to say I also hate poop, though not a much as pooh

swansongs · 11/11/2020 20:19

AGREE! YANBU!
I will die on this hill!

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 11/11/2020 20:19

YANBU. Better than 'poop' though.

Snap!
LightDrizzle · 11/11/2020 20:21

Yes!
Pooh is the name of the bear. Pooh sticks are sticks thrown in the river upstream of a bridge to see which emerges first from the other side.

Poo is the very common colloquial and child-friendly word for shit/faeces.

angelikacpickles · 11/11/2020 20:21

Couldn't agree more!

newnewnewbuild · 11/11/2020 20:22

Yes!!

I have a few people on facebook who spell it like this and I always think 1) why the fuck are you talking about literal shit on facebook and 2) why the fuck are putting an h on the end ffs it doesnt make it cuter whether you're talking about your baby, toddler or dog

Dahlietta · 11/11/2020 20:22

The use of 'poo' is quite recent IME.
Huh?

Stompythedinosaur · 11/11/2020 20:24

Pooh is not only a bear, I can also pooh pooh things.

One thing I pooh pooh is the use of pooh instead if poo.

GreenOwlBlue · 11/11/2020 20:26

YANBU.

Can't stand either of them. They sound silly for an adult to be saying.
wishthiswasreallife · 11/11/2020 20:27

Yes!!this infuriated me everytime I see it.

lastqueenofscotland · 11/11/2020 20:28

Yanbu it really winds me up

olderthanyouthink · 11/11/2020 20:28

Can't stand "pooh" but it's not as bad a "teetee"

Why the f would you teach your child to use words that only your family gets? "I need a teetee!" "Huh?"

Goldencurtain · 11/11/2020 20:30

I have never seen anyone do this.

Anon778833 · 11/11/2020 20:30

Don't get me started on Poop 😡

DulcimerOfDestiny · 11/11/2020 20:32

I always assumed it was a case of someone not knowing how the word is spelled, but some are using it as a "cute" version of "poo"?

That's even worse!
