-You earn over 30k
-you can wear whatever you want -as in you don't HAVE to dress smart! So you could wear jeans if you wasn't.

  • it's a quiet environment
  • you get a lunchbreak
-days only (no shift) -you are not sitting all day but not on your feet either...so a good balance

Thanks in advance...

Why do you want to know?

CovidStoleTheRainbow · 08/11/2020 15:14

I'm going into health visiting and it's all of the above.

HR Manager

Silvercatowner · 08/11/2020 15:24

Academic at a University. When I'm on campus teaching FtF I can easily rack up 10000 steps. WFH is much more sedentary.

SplunkPostGres · 08/11/2020 15:34

IT Operations manager for an insurance company. Very specific and non corporate culture.

MustardMitt · 08/11/2020 15:34

Project manager for contact centres for a high street bank. Theoretically I work out of the contact (which is casual dress) realistically I've worked from home since March and that's unlikely to change post-Covid. I occasionally work late, but that's very business dependent and frankly very rare.

I earn £40k~ if I was a free lance PM it would be a lot more.

topcat2014 · 08/11/2020 15:37

Finance director. Tend not to wear jeans but other than that ok.

HappeBee · 08/11/2020 15:39

Surely most comms, HR and finance and civil service jobs are office jobs I.e. mainly corporate attire and desk bound? Same for consulting except you travel to client site then plonk yourself in meetings or laptop. IT and some industries you could maybe get away with casual.

Teacupover5 · 08/11/2020 16:01

Sales manager .Earn over £45k plus a high end car .
Mixture of working from home ,seeing customers but sometimes on building sites and factories so wear jeans and boots with a corporate jacket .
Mainly organise my own diary .
I need to deliver sales and there is lots of pressure to hit target ,but I am good at what I do and work really hard on weekdays so I can relax at the weekend .

Marketing manager in a tech company. Yes it is desk based but can move around as much as I want and (pre Covid) got to travel around a lot both UK and internationally.

Very flexible, wear whatever you want and also a lot of benefits. I am very greatful to work where I do.

rivierliedje · 08/11/2020 16:21

Doctor in a women's health clinic. Fairly quiet as in my own room with one patient. Sit down to do the chat and then stand up to do exam and let patient out/let next patient in.
Currently wearing scrubs so can go in wearing whatever and switch once at work.

Mrsfenchurch · 08/11/2020 17:40

Marketing manager. Most roles in marketing, PR and advertising tick your boxes, aside from often longer hours and to earn £30k will need a few years experience at a lower pay level. It is desk based, but lots of opportunity to get up move around, travel to clients, agency meetings etc (under normal circumstances obvs)

Pomelos · 08/11/2020 17:44

Volunteer manager at a dog charity

Buggritbuggrit · 08/11/2020 17:52

Charity director. Desk based, but (pre-Covid) lots of external meetings and (national) travel.

Smarten it up when I’m going to anything particularly swanky, but most of my life is spent in Converse. Suspect my general aesthetic is more ‘funky’ than casual, though.

gwenneh · 08/11/2020 17:53

Mental health practitioner - I do CBT, fits all that criteria but quite a lot of sitting. However I manage my own diary and have time to stretch my legs throughout the day.

ReallyLazy · 08/11/2020 18:12

Engineer. Requires a degree but you have a lot of options afterwards. (Not talking about software) mechanical, chemistry, electrical or energy are all good options.

HansSolo22 · 08/11/2020 18:13

Database manager, I work from home mostly with the option to go into the office when I want to. Used to go in 1 day per week but since covid I haven't been in.
