Trump has always used lawsuits to bully and intimidate, it's his MO. He's just trying to muddy the waters.

He also has a bunch of lawyers no one has ever heard of, none of the high flyers will go near any of it.

I feel like all the states are dithering as none want to be the ones that make it official and open themselves up to possible anger.

I'm not much into conspiracies, but I can't help but feel that there's something fishy going on. These 6 states that will decide the election have been on the last 20% or so for days. Whichever announces next will likely be announcing the presidency, yet nobody has?

I read somewhere this week (read so much on so many different sources that I have no clue where!) that no one wants to be the state to call it and then be the ones to "blame"

A lot of the states are around the 96/97% mark for votes counted but they’ve been declared by the AP because they’re not close- the remaining states (other than Alaska and NC) slowness is just more noticeable because we’re all waiting on them.
With all the lawsuits flying around the counters will be triple checking every last ballot because they know they’re under more scrutiny

Georgia has a republican Governor, who definitely doesn't want that!

They all know that as soon as anything is concrete, all hell will break lose from the White House, so they are all desperate to make sure everything is done absolutely to the letter to reduce the chances of Trump having any chance of challenging.

I just saw something on cnn I think explaining why PA was being slow, there is still uncertainty, not much but how much is unknown.

There are 200k ballots outstanding.

Half are mail ins, will favour Biden. However they don't know how many will have to be discarded (I think due to eg inner envelopes?)

The other half are provisionals, and these might well favour Trump. They have no real feel for how much they could favour him.

That's the reason why they're being so hesitant to conclude anything - it is very unlikely the discard + provisional skew could lead to a trump surge big enough, but its unknown.

It would be nice if the certainty could come from elsewhere, but that won't be GA, or NV, so we've got AZ and NC left. I haven't been following them recently but haven't seen announcements imminent.

So yes, another sleepless night.

Important reminder. Those election workers hand counting deserve some respect. I can't imagine their stress (and possibly fear from crazy gun-toting Trumpers).

Maybe this is why there is so much delay. Perhaps they should delay the result for as long as possible. It sounds as though the longer Trump has to seek revenge and cause chaos - he will - so perhaps the delay is to reduce that opportunity.

The ballots in from AZ tonight aren't looking great for Trump. Biden just led Yuma's update, where Trump led the count so far. It's the first post-election ballot dump where he's outran the tabulated vote count, at least that I remember.
If that holds in the Maricopa wave...
