Anyone else? I have to wear one all day except when eating (obvs)...

Yes - waitress. Although today is my last day for a while.

Cookiecrisps · 04/11/2020 08:33

Not allowed to but feel the choice should be given to all employees in all workplaces.

Isolatedizzy · 04/11/2020 08:33

We have to when we're not sat at our desks - that's if we need to go in for anything, generally we are working from home!

Ace1185 · 04/11/2020 08:34

If I leave my bubble then yes

LedaandtheSwan · 04/11/2020 08:35

Legally if on duty, no. But we all do in customer facing spaces. In the office/information point, we don't. I'm a tube station supervisor.

TwoBlueFish · 04/11/2020 08:36

I do - work in a cafe

SockQueen · 04/11/2020 08:39

Yes. NHS staff. Surgical mask all day except for when I'm doing aerosol-generating procedures, when I get to upgrade to FFP3. I barely notice the surgical ones now tbh.

BugCatcher879 · 04/11/2020 08:42

Yes in a school since Mon we have had to wear them here. Before was optional

Waxonwaxoff0 · 04/11/2020 08:48

No. We are supposed to social distance but it doesn't happen much. Manufacturing industry.

Greenglassteacup · 04/11/2020 08:51

Yes. Front line NHS

Shieldingending · 04/11/2020 08:51

No, teacher in a special school and we are told we are not allowed to wear them!!

megletthesecond · 04/11/2020 08:53

No.
But when I've popped in to the office I've worn a mask. Large, almost empty office.

Noitjustwontdo · 04/11/2020 08:55

My DH doesn’t. He’s an engineer but mostly works in an office. Their desks are 2M apart so that’s sufficient apparently.

ThursdayLastWeek · 04/11/2020 08:56

Yes, I work in a tourist gift shop.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 04/11/2020 08:57

Yes when we're walking round indoors, no when we're just sitting at our desks or walking around outside. Social distancing too.

user1471462634 · 04/11/2020 08:59

No, where I work you don't have to wear a mask, it's up to the individual, I wear one for the 8 hours I'm there.....I work in a GP Practice.

MoodieMare · 04/11/2020 08:59

Yes, healthcare. Barely notice it now. Went to take a swig of cold tea on my break and forgot I had one on.
Ended well 🤣😂🤣

SingingSands · 04/11/2020 09:05

In the office we wear masks unless sitting at our desks. Even if just nipping to the printer, which is four steps away, you put your marks on. I'm mostly WFH now but I comply if I have to go in. We are also restricting numbers allowed in the office. It is large and open plan, but some people who are attending regularly (senior partners) have adopted some of the internal meeting rooms as their "offices".

Burnthurst187 · 04/11/2020 09:06

Only when I leave my designated work area. I either work on my own or with one colleague in the work area

If my colleague is there we distance as the area is huge but stay close enough to talk

Ilikewinter · 04/11/2020 09:06

Yes, unless im on a break and then im 2mts apart from other colleagues....i work in a pharmacy

Isadora2007 · 04/11/2020 09:09

Yes. In a hospital setting so surgical face masks on unless eating (one only taken off in break room when 2m apart)
Still over 30 cases of Covid in the ward next door 😬

Lurchermom · 04/11/2020 09:10

Yes, any time when we aren't eating. Feels a little ridiculous since I'm often on my own in a space the size of a football field (warehouse) but hey, thems the rules.

TheGoogleMum · 04/11/2020 09:11

Yes, nhs but mostly sit in an office (bit of patient facing too though). We take them off to eat or drink. Currently sick with covid but as far as I know my colleagues are all ok!

Twigletfairy · 04/11/2020 09:12

Yes. Mask, visor, plastic apron and gloves

CaptainHammer · 04/11/2020 09:12

Yes. And shoe covers, arm protectors, a visor, gloves and apron. I work in care.
