Anyone else? I have to wear one all day except when eating (obvs)...

manicinsomniac · 04/11/2020 09:13

Yes, but not all the time. Just in corridors, communal areas and when I can't distance.

ssd · 04/11/2020 09:13

Me. 8 hours. Hard going with specs and hot flushes. And customers telling me that they hate wearing them for the 20 mins they are in the shop.

MrsToothyBitch · 04/11/2020 09:14

No, we don't- at the moment. We are finishing the week as normal but we're going to split team next week and I wouldn't be surprised if we have to.

I'm a MoD civil servant but my area of work has to do with schools so no let up.

vodkaredbullgirl · 04/11/2020 09:16

Yes work in care, take off when having a break.

Mylittlepony374 · 04/11/2020 09:18

Yes. All day. Barely notice it now.

NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace · 04/11/2020 09:22

No. But I'm wearing one today as I have a cold and feel shocking. Pre-Covid it wouldn't have been an issue but I think my colleagues may appreciate it Blush

ToffeePennie · 04/11/2020 09:24

Yes. I am a foot health practitioner though.

Vivana · 04/11/2020 09:36

Yes full ppe gloves visor apron mask it worse horrible to begin with but now I don't mind it so much. I'm a care Assistant.

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 04/11/2020 09:59

Yes. Clinical nhs. Our office is covid secure for up to 4 sitting apart with no mask so we can have a break from them but people are in and out all the time to get supplies etc so we mostly wear them in there too. Often only remember the mask when I try to have a drink or shove food in my mouth!

SwayingInTime · 04/11/2020 10:01

Yes, NHS, like others I have no idea when I have a surgical one on any more.

timeforawine · 04/11/2020 10:04

Only when walking round the office, don't need them while sat at our desks

MrsMonkeyBear · 04/11/2020 10:04

Yes, im a chef and wear it at all times apart from drinking or eating. Even though I work on my own and can safely keep a 2m distance, I prefer to keep one on just incase.

WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 04/11/2020 10:09

My day is very variable. Some of it involves driving someone in my car for about 40 minutes twice a day - they sit on the passenger side in the back - we both wear masks.

Part of it is WFH - so obviously not.

I don't like the driving part tbh. But any other job I got (doing what I do) would involve a lot more contact...so I just do it as safely as I can.

BlueThistles · 04/11/2020 10:09

Yes ... front line

iolaus · 04/11/2020 10:11

Yes - unless I'm on my own (community NHS - so if I'm driving between houses I don't wear one in the car or if I'm doing computer work and noone else is in the room - thats rare though there usually is someone else so I'll wear one)
If only with colleagues then just mask, if patient contact then mask, apron, gloves, if covid patient / self isolating patient then add visor (and potentially gown depending on what I'm doing)

Cbeebiesismyworld · 04/11/2020 10:12

Yes, surgical mask during 12 hour shifts. I’m a nurse.

Cocolapew · 04/11/2020 10:14

Yes, I work in a special school. We are also encouraged to wear a visor, apron and gloves.

goldopals · 04/11/2020 11:48

I have to. I'm Australian and live in Victoria where mask wearing is compulsory. I hate wearing it but it's helped us to get double doughnuts! Fifth day in a row today

Greysparkles · 04/11/2020 11:50

Yes NHS frontline here, barely notice the surgical mask now, even being a glasses wearer.
I sneezed whilst wearing one. It was gross 😂

Wankerchief · 04/11/2020 11:53

Yep 10 hours a day, retail.

I feel naked without one, it's been so long.

updownroundandround · 04/11/2020 12:08

yep, all day I wear a surgical mask, except when I have to upgrade to FFP3 when performing aerosol generating procedures (which is very often) I also have to wear scrubs, which I change several times in a shift.

Yukkatree12 · 04/11/2020 12:11

Yes a visor, I work in a factory.

itsgettingcoldoutside · 04/11/2020 12:11

Yes

Megan2018 · 04/11/2020 12:20

In communal areas but not in my own office, but I’m only going in once a week anyway.

Staff that sit in open plan areas need them unless they are 2m+ but most are as they are in bubbles so not in all together.

Bbq1 · 04/11/2020 12:25

In a school. Masks are mandatory in our setting now. We only remove them when eating and still wear them in our bubbles.
