DH and his obscenity

BaylisAndHardon · 02/11/2020 20:34

When DH picks a chocolate from the box, he just dives in and picks any without even looking at the little chocolate menu card.

AIBU to think that this is completely obscene behaviour? Should I LTB?

I do this too. If you like all of them why not go for a surprise!

flaviaritt · 02/11/2020 20:35

Wrong’un.

DaddysGirlForLife · 02/11/2020 20:36

I do the same Grin I like a surprise and if I don't like it, my husband finishes it off. Hahah

Tolleshunt · 02/11/2020 20:37

I couldn’t be with someone so reckless. YWNBU for LTB.

Aquamarine1029 · 02/11/2020 20:39

Your husband likes to live on the edge.

katy1213 · 02/11/2020 20:39

So you married a human dustbin who will even eat the orange cremes?
Has he any redeeming qualities?

BaylisAndHardon · 02/11/2020 20:40

I do love an orange creme..

I am jealous of his carefree risk taking approach tbh.

DramaAlpaca · 02/11/2020 20:42

My DH does this too. I'm sure it must be one of those strange hereditary traits because his late dad used to do it as well.

I, on the other hand, am a delicate picker-outer of the nice ones.

wowfudge · 02/11/2020 20:44

He is nowhere near as heinous as the person who raids the second layer for their favourites when there are chocolates left on the top layer.

AnyFucker · 02/11/2020 20:47

Living on the edge....

Aquamarine1029 · 02/11/2020 20:51

Is Danger his middle name?

Botherfreedays · 02/11/2020 20:51

Ooooh a risk taker. Is he Mr Excitement in other ways? Grin

DennisTMenace · 02/11/2020 20:52

I never even considered this was possible to do. Just why? I do not like surprises.

DishingOutDone · 02/11/2020 20:53

I like his attitude. I wish I had a box now I'd go for it. I never knew anyone so .... exciting!!

DishingOutDone · 02/11/2020 20:54

I'm thinking of something containing a lime barrel, now that really would be reckless shoving your mitt in a box like that. Whoa.

thistimelastweek · 02/11/2020 20:55

My husband does this too. Very hard to watch.

DishingOutDone · 02/11/2020 20:56

@wowfudge

He is nowhere near as heinous as the person who raids the second layer for their favourites when there are chocolates left on the top layer.
Now that's just a fuckwit. You can't compare someone who calculates their fuckwittery to a DH who just gets on in there and quietly savours the results. Now that's alluring.
Disfordarkchocolate · 02/11/2020 21:01

I have trained mine to only eat the ones I don't like. That's not much of a selection, poor bugger.

stovetopespresso · 02/11/2020 21:06

he's either really easy-going or has no taste buds

AnotheBloodyChinHair · 02/11/2020 21:09

Why is he even eating your chocolates?

Craftycorvid · 02/11/2020 21:10

Ooh, could he pop round and collect all the fecking orange creams and strawberry monstrosities? Those are just wrong on too many levels.

nocoolnamesleft · 02/11/2020 21:10

Depends. If they're mainstream chocolates it might be forgivable. If they're nice expensive chocolates, anyone who behaves like that shouldn't be let have any. Ever.

LaurieSchafferIsAllBitterNow · 02/11/2020 21:11

where is the fun in that....??

the chocolates have to be counted and ranked so that you work down to having one of everything and then consumed in order of nice to most nicest

I also like to eat them in rows, but this isn't always possible due to the devil may care and random attitudes of chocolate box designers.

ChanklyBore · 02/11/2020 21:11

But how do you know which tastes to savour?

I’d spend all my time on identifying and not enjoying.

Nope, not a rule breaker here OP.
