But the pubs will be shut so you can't get a lovely lunch whilst out

So it's going to be pack lunches again.

At least this time there won't be people complaining about people exercising in the Peak District like last time!

"You can only leave home for very limited reasons, such as if you are a key worker, to go to school, your 1 hour a day exercise and food shopping if you cannot get a delivery slot."

Stop talking shite. I am going to start reporting posts like that as you are obviously trolling.

Yeah, me too. Deliberate misinformation, unless the PP admits she's talking shite
FourTeaFallOut · 04/11/2020 10:30

You are definitely on the wind up Ecosse.
You might think it's funny but someone who feels too intimidated to read the actual legislation might mistake your bullshit for the truth - pack it in.

Orcus · 04/11/2020 10:33

There were certainly instances where police got the law wrong and overstepped their authority last time. Of all the shit Ecosse has come out with, the anecdote about her neighbour actually does have the ring of truth about it.

But the best way to deal with this type of nonsense is for everyone to be aware of what the regulations say and that they trump the guidance, which is not enforceable. If you're going to travel for exercise, perhaps download a copy to your phone if you can. Be ready to assert your rights if needed.

  • The central message is absolutely that everyone should be at home. Indeed, from tomorrow, you will be committing a criminal offence if you leave home without a reasonable excuse.

You are talking utter shit and I think you really know this and are trying to scare people. Either that or you are incapable of reading and understanding what the regulations, and legislation which underpins this, actually says

AllTheUserNamesAreTaken · 04/11/2020 10:43

Now I’ve done a bold fail again because I’m annoyed

BelleSausage · 04/11/2020 10:45

Brilliant. That’ll be the park filled with day tripper rubbish again. People letting their dogs off the lead in the sheep fields again. People pooing in the hedges and illegally parking down all the lanes and blocking access to the gates and driveways.

Fabulous. This year has made me realise how totally selfish most human beings are.

Ignoringequally · 04/11/2020 10:55

your 1 hour a day exercise and food shopping if you cannot get a delivery slot

You’re trolling Grin. You will not be committing a criminal offence if you exercise for more than an hour a day, or if you go food shopping when there are delivery slots available.
Give it up now Grin

Never mind the police, I'd be calling a psychiatrist to deal with this 'neighbour' who is so obsessed with people's dog walking habits. She/he sounds in need of urgent help. What a sad, pathetic existence.

And you must live in a very peaceful area if the police have nothing better to do than reprimand dog walkers.

"Criminal offence"?

Could you link to the relevant legislation?

I tried reporting the posts but was told it was OK as posters were challenging. Apparently spreading lies and misinformation is OK providing someone answers back Confused
FourTeaFallOut · 04/11/2020 11:55

Fine, MNHQ, we'll do the heavy lifting.

Ecosse talks shite, all day long. I've never seen Ecosse post one single message in which she did not conflate her opinion with fact and truth. Ecosse risks seeing people who are confused about the rules completely isolated from perfectly reasonable and legal activities to satisfy her own superiority complex. This is immoral.

Orcus · 04/11/2020 11:56

I've been reporting misinformation for days on multiple threads, ever since I learned that some vulnerable MNers took the nonsense to heart last time, and nothing done about it. There is a moderation issue here, because it's not possible to assume that every time a poster invents or just misunderstands the lockdown rules, there'll always be someone there to correct it.

Maskedpotato · 04/11/2020 11:59

Looks like Ecosse got a similar post deleted yesterday.

Well that's a start I suppose. I missed that one.

I’ve reported one of her posts upthread which has now been deleted.

Shame they had nothing better to do. I’d be well pissed off if they were paid for from my council tax.

SurreyHillsGirl · 04/11/2020 20:02

My daily country dog walks keep me sane, and WFH, I use them to break up the afternoon to evening so it feels like I’ve been ‘somewhere’ and can therefore have a change of scene, which does DH and me the power of good. So do understand those who wish to be surrounded by the beauty of the countryside, so I don’t agree with those saying don’t visit if they also live rurally, it’s a v selfish attitude and we don’t own the area, but if you do come, please clear up after yourselves.

It seems some people aren't aware of the law - so it's not bleeding obvious to some people.

Public toilets are allowed to remain open.
(Haven't rtft so apologies if this was confirmed elsewhere - just looking at the recent posts mentioning pissing in the bushes Confused).

TrainspottingWelsh · 05/11/2020 20:21

We rural types have the same problem op, visitors that aren't aware of the law, let alone how they should behave. And no, I'm not referring to lockdown rules.
