To be surprised that at how awful these dresses are?

I'm not sure awful is the right word or why Facebook would think I might like 'Pencil Me In' or 'Treat Yourself'?

I love them and as a teacher would totally wear them to school! Although I prefer a longer length.

MrsRogerLima · 31/10/2020 08:53

Bought a dress and a top, thanks op!

Really dislike boring people who wear what's deemed 'acceptable' as opposed to what makes them happy and then judge others for their choices.

We only get one life, go get yours and let other people live theirs.

KarlKennedysDurianFruit · 31/10/2020 08:55

I have a jumper with red busses on it, DS loves it but I actually bought it long before he was born...... I like some of those dresses but the high neck button up doesn't work for me, my shoulders are too broad and they always gape at the buttons

PaperMonster · 31/10/2020 08:57

Love them! And they have pockets!

AnnaMagnani · 31/10/2020 09:06

I like them and would totally buy them if they were longer.

I don't get the 'too old' thing - I like colour.

ConorMasonsWife · 31/10/2020 09:08

I really like them 😅

DonEmmanuelsDingleberries · 31/10/2020 09:26

I like these ones, although I think most of them would be too short on me.

I've never been mistaken for chic though! Grin

They're not for me, but I like that they're unique and not the same boring ones you see everywhere.

ParadeOfRemotes · 31/10/2020 09:31

I've just bought a dress and a jumper.

Well played OP. Well played.

LookToTreblesGoingTreblesGone · 31/10/2020 09:33

Ooh, I quite like Into The Sunset!
I'm tall though with permanently bruised legs so none would look good on me.

movingonup20 · 31/10/2020 09:44

Not my style but not awful, would be good for teachers in infants/nursery schools who want something bright and cheerful also hcp who don't wear uniforms

Dowser · 31/10/2020 09:46

I think less is more
Lose the sleeves on a lot of them, and the Peter Pan Collars, fussy bows
Get rid of the fussiness and let the fabric speak for itself..heck on most of them ..it’s loud enough
So yes, if they did that I would wear them as I like bright, vibrant and quirky..but don’t want to look like I’m 8

movingonup20 · 31/10/2020 09:50

And appreciate some of the models are circa size 12-14 rather than pencil thin! There's one dress I love but it's a summer one and there's a gale blowing so hardly season appropriate!

Dowser · 31/10/2020 09:50

@knittingaddict
There’s no such thing as too old.
I’m nearly 70 and woul wear some of them if they were scaled down a bit..Ie like I said upthread.
Anything is better than those boring sack ps you see in some of the shops like toast, poetry, cos

Dowser · 31/10/2020 09:53

@glummymcglummerson
Most of my dresses..and I only wear dresses come from quiz or select.
Skater style suits my shape.
I love bright colours..we live in a grey country a lot of the time, so I like to wear something cheerful
Hell knows we need it right now.

Dowser · 31/10/2020 09:55

@nacreous

Are you my evil twin 😂

Dowser · 31/10/2020 09:58

I would wear this one

CounsellorTroi · 31/10/2020 10:00

I love those clothes, I love bright colours. Not everyone wants to dress in plain neutrals all the time.

Oysterbabe · 31/10/2020 10:00

I love that one Dowser.

TheGhostofGlumy · 31/10/2020 10:02

I really like the watermelon one, although I would feel like the mum from cocomelon, lol.

Noideawottodo · 31/10/2020 10:02

They would be so unflattering on me. Far too wide and short (the dresses, not me!). Also sleeveless is not a look.

Noideawottodo · 31/10/2020 10:03

In fact I'd look almost identical to Grayson Perry in some of those dresses.

ChaToilLeam · 31/10/2020 10:05

Not my cup of tea at all. The dress shapes themselves are okay but the colours are a bit too jolly for my liking. Much prefer GetCutie, the prints are far nicer.

Dowser · 31/10/2020 10:09

Oh goody goody gum drops
I’ve found the matching sneakers
😱

Hmmm. I actually had my eye on Follow the Rainbow dress for months, but then my SIL got one. SIL is a county court judge, for those of your wondering who would wear dresses like these.
