Is there anyone who doesn’t think they had covid last winter

no trolling or trying to be clever, almost every single person I know thinks they could have had it last year. I was in hospital for a virus which caused breathing difficulties in December. I feel like I’m losing touch with relaity

Me I didn’t even have a cold last winter, which is unusual.

HazeyJaneII · 29/10/2020 22:38

I don't think I had it.

Peace43 · 29/10/2020 22:39

I was healthy as a horse last winter!

Honestadviceneeded · 29/10/2020 22:39

I don’t think I’ve had it.

waitforitwaitforit · 29/10/2020 22:40

I've wondered if there was another nasty respiratory thing doing the rounds in the early part of the year. I had what I assume was a normal cold in early March but it did come with some breathlessness and a nasty cough.

SparklyLeprechaun · 29/10/2020 22:40

I didn't have it. Last time I was ill with anything was September last year.

Twigletfairy · 29/10/2020 22:40

Me. I only know a couple of people that think they had it last winter.

Most people recognise that a cough of some kind circulates every year. So even if you had a the symptoms of covid, it could easily have been one of the other yearly viruses that circulates

I'm not saying you didn't have covid. I'm just saying there's a lot of crossover of symptoms with other common viruses

LeahDownTheLane · 29/10/2020 22:41

I don’t think so, I had my usual cold that starts, lasts and ends the way it does every year.

NiceTwin · 29/10/2020 22:41

Not me, definitely not had it.

AnyFucker · 29/10/2020 22:41

Do you think you had it last winter ?

Charles11 · 29/10/2020 22:41

I wasn’t ill last year though dd was very ill. She had a headache, a raging temperature that took 3 days to go down, terrible diarrhoea and then a cough for a week.
No one else in the family got ill though.

Furrydogmum · 29/10/2020 22:41

I work in a large secondary school - so many people have convinced themselves that the cold/cough/sniffle they had Dec onwards last year was covid!

Nekoness · 29/10/2020 22:41

Me.
Because we all came down with it in March.

MsJaneAusten · 29/10/2020 22:42

I haven’t had it. I’m pretty sure three of my colleagues had it in January though.

LucillevsLowkee · 29/10/2020 22:42

Covid is an attention seeker dream! Grin

So many people "know" that they had it Hmm because they were unwell as they are every year but the funny thing is that people who have tested positive either had next to no symptom and thought they were fine, or ended up in hospital because they felt very bad.

Not many people around here seem to have had a bad (but not tragic) covid when they tested positive.

yellowmaoampinball · 29/10/2020 22:42

Me. And I don't know anyone else who thinks they had it.

Gatehouse77 · 29/10/2020 22:42

Nor me. I can't remember the last time I was ill enough to stay in bed. Probably 4=5 years ago!

FrogOfFrogHall · 29/10/2020 22:46

I don't! I had a cough over Christmas but it was exactly the same as other nasty cold / chest infection type coughs I've had before and too early in time so don't think it was covid. We did have a cough go round our household in March during the peak before lockdown which I thought could possibly have been a very mild case of covid but we tested negative for antibodies, so don't think we've had it at all (yet!)

TitianaTitsling · 29/10/2020 22:53

Me and several colleagues- although I do think it's interesting that in my experience some of the people who are only ever talking about how easy it is to catch and how it's going to be everywhere are the ones that are so dismissive of people that think they've had it all ready!

ilovepixie · 29/10/2020 22:55

Last November my partner and I had the worst cold/flu ever. Never had a cough like it and felt so ill. A lot of work mates were the same

OrtamLeevz · 29/10/2020 22:57

@LadyCatStark

Me I didn’t even have a cold last winter, which is unusual.
Same here.
ShanghaiDiva · 29/10/2020 22:58

Definitely didn’t have it and I was living in mainland China at the time.

Blondiney · 29/10/2020 22:58

I haven't had a cold since 2008.

Feellikefrighteningyeah · 29/10/2020 23:00

Nothing here. But my next door neighbour works in a care home and was very poorly in December 2019

Kittytheteapot · 29/10/2020 23:01

My last cold was in July 2018. Prior to that, it was about 3 - 5 years earlier. I didn't knowingly have Covid last winter.
