looking for some inspiration. Ideally something a bit different. Also if I get some Christmas present inspiration for DM/MIL then that would be ideal 😁

I also wore be delicious in younger years and like you have moved to stronger scents and Black Orchid is one of my favourites too. Two very contrasting recommendations from me: Tom Ford Metallique... sweeter and metallic with something that takes me make to the nineties or naughties that I can’t place. Or An Oud base scent. Currently have Penhaligon’s Oud de Nile which is lovely. Oud passed me by for years until someone in my office was wearing it and I tracked them down to discover it was Oud and that there are loads of options. How I didn’t know this I don’t know.

I've actually been having a look at the Penhaligon ones this morning. I think we must have the same taste! That's really helpful though thank you

My favourite ever scent is Creed - Aventus, the men’s version. It’s ridiculously expensive though.

Jean Paul gaultier scandal by night. Pretty powerful, a little goes a long way!

Dior pure poison and dkny be delicious are my favourites.

My SIL has been wearing Ari by ariana grande recently and everyone keeps sniffing her and asking her what it is so that seems popular too

My fave is Estee Lauder Modern Muse. I was reading a thread on here recently about perfume and someone recommended the Perfume Parlour who do perfume oils and have a whole range of dupes. I have ordered some and am very impressed. You can order really small samples that start at about £3 so no big outlay and if you don't like it not much lost. A good way to try new scents cheaply too. I have no link to them by the way, just recommending :-)

Also anything by Van Cleef and Arpels are gorgeous

I use the Clarins (red bottle) and body lotion at the moment.
My absolute favourite is Coco (noir) but it's so expensive. Might save up!

I wear Ffern, currently the Autumn 20 scent, which is just gorgeous.

I used to be a one scent only type of person but in recent years I like to be able to change it up a little depending on my mood. I like more 'male' cologne type perfumes and I currently have:

Santa Maria Novella - original cologne made for Catherine di Medici
Tom Ford - Black Orchid - for evening wear
Tom Ford - Portofino Neroli - I have been wearing this for several years and adore it
Tom Ford - Costa Azzura - almost out and need to replace it
Atelier - L'Eau - have gone off this after wearing it to death.

I have a few:

Dolce and Gabana red (in a red velvety box) for every day use

Britney Spears Fantasy and Midnight Fantasy for every day use (vanilla-ry scent which I love)

Lancome Tresor La Nuit, which is gorgeous and I'm always complimented on smelling good whenever I wear it; it's about £74 for 50ml though so not overly cheap, which means I keep it for when I'm going out somewhere nice or out in the evening.

I also wear a knock off Angel (Thierry Mugler) from Lidl which is really nice and lasts well.

My favourite is Midnight Poison by Dior but sadly it was discontinued years ago. I wore it religiously at Uni.

My daily favourite is Black Opium, works well on my skin.

Very old fashioned perfume which I have worn for nearly 50 years including on my wedding day.

All my dd's friends - mid 20's - constantly ask me what it is. They love it on me but are amazed when I tell them I buy it for peanuts on eBay. 😁
