Slimming World -AIBU to be a bit shocked!

I'm a bit shocked by these real life stories. The 'before' pictures look much 'better' than the after ones. Surely someone in head office can correct these? I spent a happy few minutes flicking through them all. I know I should be looking at the diet plans but it was much more amusing to just laugh. AIBU to think someone should have altered it by now? Imagine losing all that weight and then having the pictures like that.

I looked, there’s nothing wrong with the pictures? They all look great

motherofawhirlwind · 23/10/2020 17:00

Have you misunderstood? You press the before button to see the before photo....

emilyfrost · 23/10/2020 17:01

No, the before pictures do not look better than the after ones Confused😂

Irishgurl · 23/10/2020 17:01

On my page you press the picture and it says 'After' for when they are larger.

Helenluvsrob · 23/10/2020 17:01

The before and after clicks thing is the wrong way round 😂😂

user12345796 · 23/10/2020 17:02

No the arrow means that you are on the after picture and if you want to see the before one you click the arrow that says before and it takes you there?

SchrodingersImmigrant · 23/10/2020 17:02

We should stop altering pictures.... Especially if they are supposed to be motivational real before and after.

BusyBB · 23/10/2020 17:02

The after pics look better. It is weirdly set up so that you could think they are the other way round.

Hwory · 23/10/2020 17:02

I've looked through the first four and I think they all look better after.

What a mean person to be laughing.

I don't rate SW as a diet plan at all but what a bizarre take to have.

Dishwashersaurous · 23/10/2020 17:03

I think you misunderstood. The first photo is the after photo. Then press the button to get to before

But it does look like the before is a caption

MuthaHubbard · 23/10/2020 17:03

In the slimmer photo you press 'before' to show you what she looked like before. In the larger photo you press the 'after' button to show how she looks now in the smaller photo

SchrodingersImmigrant · 23/10/2020 17:04

It is odd, but people with common sense would probably assume that slimmingworld won't be happily advertising their clients weight gain😁
FOJN · 23/10/2020 17:04

I think they look great too. Congratulations if you've featured in slimming world promo material.

Good luck with your weight loss plan, hopefully it will make you less inclined to mock those who have already been successful.

RaspAsYouChokeOnTheToupee · 23/10/2020 17:05

They are defaulting to the after photo, the caption saying before at the bottom of it had a backwards arrow. So click to look at the before photo. So the better photos are the after photos.

SchrodingersImmigrant · 23/10/2020 17:06

I agree. I eould go as far as call it very bitchy.

"I need to lose weight but I am going to laugh at pics of people who lost weight because they are not altered durdur"

Irishgurl · 23/10/2020 17:06

But it does look like the before is a caption.

Yes, exactly. If I lost that amount of weight I wouldn't want 'before' labelled on it! I did actually realise that it is the wrong way around. I just found it amusing and thought someone else might. I'm laughing at the website not being 'mean' at the people who have dieted.

OP posts:
ChaChaCha2012 · 23/10/2020 17:07

You're clearly being mean.

Give your head a shake.

GreyishDays · 23/10/2020 17:07

The arrow makes it clear! Obviously they aren’t saying the larger one is the after.

Use the brain you were given. Obviously the slimmer one is the after. Logic.
GreyishDays · 23/10/2020 17:09

It also says ‘go back to the before image’ by using the arrow convention.

Do you use the internet much? Grin

Irishgurl · 23/10/2020 17:13

Slimming world could take five minutes to alter this. It is silly to label it in this way. That is what I'm laughing at. It isn't hard to swap around and have the desired result for the article. How can this be accepted as being 'mean' and 'bitchy' to the successful dieters? It's quite a basic website error.

OP posts:
MasksGlovesSoapScrubs · 23/10/2020 17:19

It's not hard to understand the website at all.
You were laughing at the pictures being spiteful now you're trying to turn it around because you didn't realise how the pictures worked. Awkward.

fruitpastille · 23/10/2020 17:19

I found your OP more confusing than the website tbh.

missmouse101 · 23/10/2020 17:21

Op that's ridiculous. Surely you can clearly see you touch the word before to see the before image? Its extraordinarily basic. Are you new to technology? Confused

indy1282 · 23/10/2020 17:21

Are you thick? It clearly says before with an arrow, to me that means click on the arrow to see the before pic..... much like the rest of the posters here...
