Slimming World -AIBU to be a bit shocked!

I'm a bit shocked by these real life stories. The 'before' pictures look much 'better' than the after ones. Surely someone in head office can correct these? I spent a happy few minutes flicking through them all. I know I should be looking at the diet plans but it was much more amusing to just laugh. AIBU to think someone should have altered it by now? Imagine losing all that weight and then having the pictures like that.

Perhaps you should email slimming world and tell them what they are doing wrong, I'm sure they would love their feedback.

HumousWhereTheHeartIs · 23/10/2020 17:23

Nothing is round the wrong way. The swooshy arrow means you click to reveal the before then click to reveal the after. I'm surprised anyone would misinterpret this.

This post seems a bit mean.

BananaFlavouredPancakes · 23/10/2020 17:24

Agree, the website is straightforward for anyone who is anyway familiar with the Internet. What a non-issue.

Ritlock · 23/10/2020 17:24

Anyone with an ounce of common sense can work out which way around it is, an arrow pointing to indicate flip the picture and the fact it's on a dieting site should be the biggest hint in the world of which way around it is, if the button is too confusing.

Irishgurl · 23/10/2020 17:26

I give up! A bit of light jesting on a grey day. And the website is set up in a very strange way. I'd better get back to work then. Everyone I have shown it to in real life laughed too . At the website mistake, not the dieters!

They do say that birds of the feather flock together so that would explain why everyone you showed it to laugh too...

butterpuffed · 23/10/2020 17:29

It's not a website mistake, OP. you see the pic as they are now then click on the backward arrow to see how they were before.

Leimarel · 23/10/2020 17:34

Were you hoping to encourage us all to point and laugh at the fatties? The only one being laughed at here is you, love. Those women all look amazing!

It confused me too op

doctorhamster · 23/10/2020 17:43

It's not a website mistake op, it's you.

Time2change2 · 23/10/2020 17:43

Made yourself look like a spiteful idiot. Why are you laughing at any of it? Clearly you click the word before with the arrow to see the before photo. There is a cure for weight gain but no cure for stupid unfortunately

LittleDoritt · 23/10/2020 17:44

It totally looks like a caption and is very funny. As if you're laughing at fat people... Hmm

rc22 · 23/10/2020 17:49

The arrow means click to see the before picture.

blue25 · 23/10/2020 17:57

Gosh how spiteful. They all look great in their after pictures. It’s pretty obvious to me that you follow the arrow, so I don’t get your point.

Fajitanita · 23/10/2020 17:58

I found the labels misleading too, it's obvious what way round they are meant to go, but it does read at first as if the afters have put on weight. They all look good in all of them to be honest, but for a weight loss organisation pretty sure it's the opposite of what they want to say.

Highlights12 · 23/10/2020 17:59

Don't think the op was trying to be mean.

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 23/10/2020 18:00

How can so many people on here be misunderstanding what the "before" and "after" buttons are for. Ots really pretty simple. You clock on the before button to see the before picture and the after button to see the after picture. The buttons aren't the label. I'm quite shocked that people lack basic comprehension skills.

Its not a mistake. You made the mistake!

Because things are usually labelled so if you look at it quickly with the photo it looks as though that's the case?

Staffy1 · 23/10/2020 18:05

You have misunderstood. The before has a looped arrow next to it, meaning you have to click it to see the before picture, then you can click the after looped arrow to get back to the after picture. You are seeing the after picture originally, with a link to the before picture.

raddledoldmisanthropist · 23/10/2020 18:05

I doubt she found another person IRL who didn't realise what the arrow meant. There is a much simpler explanation as to why everyone laughed when OP showed them the 'website error'.

It totally looks like a caption and is very funny.

I've always wondered who the target audience for Mrs Brown's Boys was.

PeartreeProductions · 23/10/2020 18:06

My takeaway from the OPs post was she was laughing at the labels "before" and "after" being misleading therefore it's a laughably basic mistake by the website designer. The people in pics all look great IMO.
