Please, someone tell me this is a hoax:

twitter.com/tramisogyny/status/1319366664496971777?s=19

I can't find anything on Google search to tell me it's fake - what's going on here? Lots in the comments section about it being a "fetish".

@TheEmpressOfUtterBastardry

Is this meant to be funny?
Sadly no! It's a real thing! Weirdly not as rare as you might expect, should you give it credence in the first place.

There are many SM accounts of all types where it is discussed, revelled in etc!

It is one single strand of the much reviled Trans dsicussions on Feminist Chat. For some reason women finding it revolting is transphobic; girls and women recoiling when faced with it in real life is a hate crime and, as a poster points out quite clearly, that female reaction is why we are transphobes, one and all!

Al1langdownthecleghole · 23/10/2020 12:43

As I understand it, and I’d recommend wider reading around the subject, people with autogynophyllia or AGP for short, derive sexual satisfaction from being seen as a woman. It’s about acceptance.

As time goes on, it can be harder to achieve fulfilment and so the behaviours of some people escalate. So for example, at a low level someone might wear lacy underwear (see reviews on major retailer’s websites for evidence), but in time, for some individuals the need for acceptance drives them to increase their behaviours, hence engaging with conversations around menstruation and seeking out products to align with that.

TheEmpressOfUtterBastardry · 23/10/2020 12:44

Oh so in other words it's all about males dominating and bullying women, and coveting what is theirs.....same old, same old.

Alexandernevermind · 23/10/2020 12:44

Honestly I laughed at this - if I didn't I wouldn't have cried! I agree with those who think it's just male fetish. Sorry. The worrying bit for me is that its aimed at boys, that's grim. My poor teen DD had to have a day off school again last week due to a bad period with nausea, dizziness, leg and belly cramps. This lot are weirdos taking the piss and should be treated as such.

MrsHSW · 23/10/2020 12:46

Not even surprised anymore. We must fight back.

Alexandernevermind · 23/10/2020 12:49

My dad's generation's unPC response of pointing and laughing at them is the way forward.

Hmmm, I don't think it's very funny tbh, but I certainly agree that anyone practising this sort of bizarre and massively unhygienic behaviour is a weirdo, and they likely have diseases linked to poor hygiene as well.

If it was women rifling through public bins in male toilets to get hold of shitty loo roll to put in their underwear it would be equally vile.

Jessica Yaniv, I remember that name. The person who tried to force female beauty therapists to grapple with their penis all over Canada and was laughed out of court. Is tampons their latest thing now?

FredaFrogspawn · 23/10/2020 12:52

That wasn’t made by a transwoman - it wouldn’t be aimed at ‘boys’ if it were, but ‘girls’. It’s clearly made to try to rake up anti-trans feeling. Whatever your views are on the whole debate, shit like this doesn’t help anyone.

Soubriquet · 23/10/2020 12:56

I really hope this is satire because that is bloody (no pun intended) disturbing.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 23/10/2020 13:03

Yeah! But I'm waiting for the kick back on this one

JY has liked to write about their willingness to help 10-year-old girls insert tampons in public loos for a long time now.

Some people find periods, and the accoutrements that go along with them, fascinating.

MaudTheInvincible · 23/10/2020 13:10

This is a good thread for those new to FWR

Break it down for me? www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3145470-Break-it-down-for-me

TheOrigRights · 23/10/2020 13:17

The instructions say to flush the cardboard applicator down the loo.
Someone should tell them!

[misses point]

Windmillwhirl · 23/10/2020 13:19

As pointless as putting a cigarette in your mouth...

PinkAngelDelight · 23/10/2020 13:33

I'm sure I read somewhere that you can buy 'blood' suppositories that can be put up the bum to mimic periods. 🤢

That it exists tells a tale... which is the point, isn't it?

That it is hard to tell if it is satire or real is another issue!

Yet another is the underlying tone... should we, women, not discuss it at all? Can we not be disgusted, amused, irritated, bemused, angered, moved to discuss it?

You see it almost doesn't matter who made it. That it exists is enough and women can discuss it how they like, no matter who it upsets. It's a discussion... about issues that affect women.

Nobody has the right not to be offended. Satire, most humour, often crosses the line marked 'decency'.

Thanks for the warning @MrsJackRackham

Some of the stuff I've read today has left me gobsmacked.
That Barbie Kardashian story is absolutely horrendous.

Why doesn't our safety matter? Why aren't we allowed protected spaces anymore?
The erasure of our sex, rights, privacy and safety is genuinely scary.

@MaudTheInvincible

Omg that thread is amazing. So much interesting stuff in it, thank you.

My daughter called me a TERF yesterday because of my views. And its weird that I cant quite articulate them because I don't want to come across as a hateful arsehole but I feel like womens rights are being trampled and that thread explains so much.

EarthSight · 23/10/2020 17:55

Get thee to the Women's Rights forum! (aka feminist chat)

Your daughter has no idea how much her rights are being eroded, before she's even realised she had them or even needed them. Show her videos from the late lesbian vlogger Magdalen Burns on Youtube and J K Rowling's full letter to the public.

Skyliner001 · 23/10/2020 17:57

@ChaChaCha2012

Feminism chat really opened my eyes to how much trans stuff is just male fetish that we are expected to accept.

'Trans stuff' is not about fetishism. Trans stuff is about trans people and their rights, and has nothing to do with fetishism. Don't confuse the two, it's this kind of ignorance and transphobia that gives this forum a very bad name.

Yes yes YES. This ^
Becles · 23/10/2020 18:07

I saw this when I followed the twitter feed. I feel sick.

MaudTheInvincible · 23/10/2020 18:07

I know. It's shit.
