To consider seducing the hot neighbour?

No idea how I'd go about it in practice but:

Hot (and I think single neighbour) is seriously gorgeous. I think he caught me admiring him from the window once when he was scantily scad one morning 😁 I did a very obvious 'quick look away from the curtain' move.

Anyway I see him out and about a lot/we say hello but that is it. Today I ran downstairs to collect something a friend was dropping off with NO make up thinking I'll see no one (but a great hair day) and there he was coming home. I clocked him giving me that up and down body sweep then he actually stopped and tried to talk to me. I rushed off to see my friend and when I came back he was still hanging around and began talking to me again (and checked me out again 😃). I had to leave but I was left thinking 'oh he fancies you too!'.

YANBU - dont ever sleep with or date a neighbour, that's crazy
YABU - It's gonna be a long cold (possibly locked down) winter, go for it.

I have no strategy and am open to suggestions. Just wanted to hear what people think.....

I'd do it just for the help packing and moving Grin

Horsemad · 10/10/2020 20:40

Yup, do it! 😁

MakeAPeaCry · 10/10/2020 20:49

@Rae34

Oh I should say I will probably be moving in the next couple of months. Almost a certainty.
Then what tf are you hanging around here for?

It's Saturday night. Best bra on and get yourself knocking on his door to borrow a cup of sugar/litre of vodka/bottle of baby oil.

toiletpaper · 10/10/2020 20:51

Do it! I would Grin

Whatsthefuss · 10/10/2020 20:52

Why wouldn’t you?!

Please promise to keep us posted!

SimonJT · 10/10/2020 20:53

I have a hot neighbour, even if we were both single I wouldn’t. I have to see him most days, shitting on your doorstep is rarely worth it.

RealityExistsInTheHumanMind · 10/10/2020 20:56

Go for it

There's a lot of truth in the saying 'You regret the things you didn't do far more than the things you did.'

You learn lessons from mistakes, and sometimes they are not mistakes. You only get regrets from the chances you didn't take.

OK so that is not always true - but it is true more often than not.

siddlydiddly · 10/10/2020 20:56

I would if it was me, go for it then give us the low down 😂

DerbyshireMama · 10/10/2020 20:58

📢 Do it 📢 Do it 📢 Do it 📢

MuckyPlucky · 10/10/2020 20:58

Me and neighbour got together when he dropped me something round I’d requested on my road WhatsApp. Sparks flew instantly. Still together 10 months on. Our entire road now knows. It’s all good.

Glitteryone · 10/10/2020 21:00

Life is short - Go for it!!!!!!!

morethanmeetstheeye · 10/10/2020 21:03

Ok...I can't see any issue here at all!

Life is short
He's hot
You've checked him out
You think he's checked you out

Go for it. It could be fantastic!

And if you're moving soon then you have a get out of jail free card all ready to play.

Plussizejumpsuit · 10/10/2020 21:04

Go for it.

Treaclepie19 · 10/10/2020 21:04

Do it! And report back! Like you say, you could be locked down all winter. May as well have some fun 😂

Zebrasandfairytales · 10/10/2020 21:08

Oh my goodness this is just the thread I needed tonight!

OP please will you take him round a cup of sugar and let us know how you get on?!?

SEE123 · 10/10/2020 21:12

Yes! Yes! Yes! Doooooo it!

snowplop · 10/10/2020 21:12

My sister did this.
Reader, she married him.
Go for it!

Tistheseason17 · 10/10/2020 21:13

Do it!

Ihatefish · 10/10/2020 21:13

Go for it, shag each other senseless -life’s too short to do anything else

OoohTheStatsDontLie · 10/10/2020 21:18

Personally I wouldn't have any rules around sleeping with a neighbour. I would have rules around sleeping with someone who the only interaction I'd had was them groping me with their eyes and deciding I was acceptable

CatRamsey · 10/10/2020 21:25

Definitely do it! And keep us updated

Mydogmylife · 10/10/2020 21:26

Go for it! You know what they say, you regret what you didn't do, not what you did. 😉👍

MadCattery · 10/10/2020 21:55

When my brother was younger, and wanted to meet a neighbour, he would take over a bottle of wine and say "Could you possibly help? I cannot find my corkscrew" and invariably, the young lady would assist. Then, once opened, he would tell her he was just planning to have a glass alone, and would insist on sharing it with her. It's worth a chance and I've certainly heard worse pick up lines!

PossiblyPattio · 10/10/2020 21:59

DO IT!!!!! Grin

InsanityRocks · 10/10/2020 22:03

I think you should totally do it. Have fun
