The one that took her 4 hours to book.

She was number 7327 in the queue despite being online at 8.00.02am in the day tests were released after Covid..Shock

No aliens, volcanoes or wrong type of snow involved. Grin

I'm here sorry. Real life beckoned.

Dusty Dashboard Shock

A dusty dashboard?! I hope her instructor pays for the next test.

I was going to say that maybe she got my ex BIL and he is HUGE and he maybe broke her car seat like he has done on other candidates cars...

giantangryrooster · 09/10/2020 21:06

Thank you @MitziK Smile Covid related.

@Mairyhinge

My son had his test ( early March just before lockdown) booked for a Tuesday, his instructors car got hit by someone on the Monday. Thank GOD he had his own car to take the test in but that wouldn't work now due to covid. So my guess is the instructors car was involved in an accident???
ds did his test in hos own car in August. No reason why not.

But I did make him clean it so it was spotless inside and out, and had a veyr obvious pack of bacterial wipes at hand. Glad I did now!

She decided to go on a date instead with her boyfriend?

HemlockStarglimmer · 10/10/2020 21:24

A guy I knew years and years ago had his first test abandoned because the examiner refused to wear a seat belt. The test was taken in the instructor’s car which had fierce brakes. Doing an emergency stop the examiner whacked his head on the windscreen and passed out. Guy drove him to hospital and then walked back to the test centre.
Got a free retest and the second examiner didn’t make him do an emergency stop.

When my DC took the road test in 2001 it was in DC's own car...a 1965 Ford Mustang....before the driver is allowed to drive away, the examiner asks them to beep the horn, turn on the lights ...turn on the windscreen wipers....to make sure the vehicle is in proper working order..all was good until he said that the wipers could be turned off...DC tried to comply but the 36 year old wipers wouldn't stop swishing back and forth...back and forth
The examiner said that the test could not continue with the wiperblades still going...DH ran out to try and help..pushed and pulled the button..no luck...swish swish, swish swish...so he casually mentions to the examiner, "Can't you just pretend it's raining ?".Wink examiner wasn't impressed with DHs great solution and said, absolutely not! DH lifted the bonnet and giggled the wires around and fortunately the blades stopped. DC passed the test with a warning to get the dodgy wipers looked at, thank goodness.
