The one that took her 4 hours to book.

She was number 7327 in the queue despite being online at 8.00.02am in the day tests were released after Covid..Shock

No aliens, volcanoes or wrong type of snow involved. Grin

Gwan guess.

Failed sight test? My eldest almost did! The examiner had to measure out the exact distance and warn DS that he would instantly fail if he couldn't read the numberplate on the third time of asking.

Hope you DD gets a rebook of her test soon. I know how stressful it has been. DS2's test was cancelled in April, re-booked for July, then cancelled again at the last minute. We finally got an email invite mid-August to join the massively long queue for booking. Luckily, he got a cancellation date and a pass before the booking system opened up those who had not yet made an initial booking.

How long til we can find out ?

bitheby · 09/10/2020 16:29

She had a temperature

funnylittlefloozie · 09/10/2020 16:29

My DD has had FOUR tests cancelled. She passed her theory at the beginning of December last year, then was meant to take the practical test on Christmas Eve, but she was ill in hospital. She didnt get out of hospital until end of January, so rebooked her test for the third week in March... tests were cancelled two days before her test. Then she got one in July, and that was postponed for no apparent reason, until August, and then the August one was postponed. We think it was examiner sickness, but were never given a reason. She FINALLY took her test at the end of September, and sailed through, but we were on tenterhooks that the stupid test would be moved again. She was desperate to pass before she was 18.

Fingers crossed for your DD when she finally does get to take her test.

BoggledBudgie · 09/10/2020 16:30

The steering wheel came off?

AlwaysLatte · 09/10/2020 16:31

Is her test centre just over the border in a lockdown area?

Blueshmoo · 09/10/2020 16:31

A cat fell on her head then a dog wearing shoes attacked the cat??

Backofthenewt · 09/10/2020 16:31

Cows in the road?

SingToTheSky · 09/10/2020 16:32

The instructor/examiner got their licence revoked for speeding.

Wrong kind of leaves on the road?

pussycatinboots · 09/10/2020 16:32

@ChaosTrulyReigns

Some grand and good guess here, but no prizes yet.Grin

One of the above is steering in right direction. Geddit? Groan.

But keep Em coming I love the MN imagination.

(Those mentioning 2021, sadly that now maybe when she can next book 😭)

Was your DD driving a left-hand drive car?
giantangryrooster · 09/10/2020 16:32

She slept with the examiner instead?

bigbluebus · 09/10/2020 16:33

Car got a flat tyre

OhMsBeliever · 09/10/2020 16:34

Was it the lorry full of amazon parcels that fell over on the A24?

Or did she do what I did on the way to my first test - clip the kerb, puncture the tyre on my instructors brand new car, then he couldn't get the wheel off to change it and had to call his mum to take me home, thus missing my test. Blush

Whatever it was I hope she can book a new test soon.

FTMF30 · 09/10/2020 16:35

I haven't even offered a guess but please tell us. I can't stand the suspense of things like this!

Bowerbird5 · 09/10/2020 16:36

She had an accident on the way there and damaged the steering.

CheetasOnFajitas · 09/10/2020 16:38

Examiner told to work from home and his driveway not big enough to practise roundabouts?

Imissmoominmama · 09/10/2020 16:40

Examiner forgot their mask?

DameCelia · 09/10/2020 16:40

@Pumpertrumper
I never normally do this but

Using 'Karen' like that is misogynistic and unnecessary.
And the onus is on us not to use it 😉

AgreeableEagle · 09/10/2020 16:41

It's probably something that seems totally unconnected, like there was a power cut in the building next to the test centre!

Oxyiz · 09/10/2020 16:42

Amen @DameCelia.

Osirus · 09/10/2020 16:42

Left her driving licence at home?

DobbyTheHouseElk · 09/10/2020 16:42

🤷🏻‍♀️

Knittedfairies · 09/10/2020 16:43

The steering wheel fell off.

blacksax · 09/10/2020 16:43

Rear view mirror came unglued and fell off the windscreen?

Dropped car keys down drain outside test centre?

Sat on glasses and broke them?

Examiner tripped over kerb and fell flat on their face?

Got blocked in by an ambulance?

Osirus · 09/10/2020 16:43

She was using her own car and forgot to provide a second rear view mirror?
