The one that took her 4 hours to book.

She was number 7327 in the queue despite being online at 8.00.02am in the day tests were released after Covid..Shock

No aliens, volcanoes or wrong type of snow involved. Grin

Gwan guess.

Or forgot her “L” plates?

Turned up in a Beetle convertible? (Not allowed to do your test in these.)

EveryPlanetHasAYorkshire · 09/10/2020 16:45

Please tell us OP Smile

funnylittlefloozie · 09/10/2020 16:46

Oh and my guess is, Godzilla.

Why can’t you take a test in a convertible beetle?
AldiAisleofCrap · 09/10/2020 16:48

@ChaosTrulyReigns Had driven to the place I'd taken previous DDs to. Had arrived quote early. rare for me DD3 then clicked. Got to the new centre across the town with 1 minute to spare
Was that Liverpool by any chance?

Charliecatpaws · 09/10/2020 16:48

Her driving instructor went for a coffee and took the car keys with them?

Hiddennameforever · 09/10/2020 16:48

They lost the car keys.

Osirus · 09/10/2020 16:48

Something to do with visibility. There’s a few others you can’t take your test in.

Osirus · 09/10/2020 16:49

But they let me take mine in a large 4x4 🤷‍♀️

MoiraNotRuby · 09/10/2020 16:50

They set off, the examiner went into labour, DD had to take her to the hospital instead, none of this included reversing around a corner so it wasn't a legitimate test.

PuppyMonkey · 09/10/2020 16:50

The instructor was waiting for a conclusion to a massively drawn out MN thread? Grin

listsandbudgets · 09/10/2020 16:51

Examiner retired the day before?

@Osirus why?
Mairyhinge · 09/10/2020 16:51

My son had his test ( early March just before lockdown) booked for a Tuesday, his instructors car got hit by someone on the Monday. Thank GOD he had his own car to take the test in but that wouldn't work now due to covid.
So my guess is the instructors car was involved in an accident???

TantieTowie · 09/10/2020 16:52

Examiner is in self-isolation for six weeks after their neighbour's cat tested positive for Covid?

Theory test pass has expired?

Examiner turned out to be long-lost relative - so it was a conflict of interest to do the test?

Audreyseyebrows · 09/10/2020 16:52

Ah cross post. They aren’t great when reversing tbh.

donaldtrumpsarmpit · 09/10/2020 16:52

Leaves on the road?

TantieTowie · 09/10/2020 16:53

Ah, I see this has only been going for an hour (!) I expect we won't find out till Monday...

Audreyseyebrows · 09/10/2020 16:53

My guess is that she had false lashes on and the instructor felt that they would obstruct her visibility.

Chemenger · 09/10/2020 16:55

@WeAllHaveWings

Snow?
I had a test cancelled for snow. It had snowed for about an hour the day before, but there was none on the ground and no more snow was forecast.
IdkickJilliansass · 09/10/2020 16:57

Meteor shower

kness · 09/10/2020 16:57

@Pumpertrumper There are thousands of real women called Karen who are being bullied and harassed because of comments like yours. Stop.

yellowmaoampinball · 09/10/2020 16:57

Dirty car?

HibiscusNell · 09/10/2020 16:59

OP, that’s a long enough wait now. It gets boring otherwise.

I can’t think why it might have been cancelled but hopefully it is something worthy of appearing on Road Wars.

(Or maybe baby related. I once took a driving test overseas on my due date. I was very, very pregnant looking. )

RevolutionRadio · 09/10/2020 17:00

There were horses loose on the road on one of the routes the test centre uses here.

I had a test cancelled because of wind, didn't get told though. Driving instructor was not happy when we pulled up to an empty building.
