Trump - I seriously have no words

Trump, talking about COVID-19 on the news just now - “Don’t be afraid of it, don’t let it dominate you“
How fucking offensive to the millions of people who are suffering, who have died, their families, people who have lost their jobs, their livelihoods, their homes.

I don’t know why I am surprised, the man is an utter prick, but for some reason this latest sound bite has just enraged me. AIBU?

I could easily believe it is all a hoax EXCEPT for the fact that lots of others in his circle are now ill. That would have to be a very elaborate hoax.
That said the timeline does not add up, it’s known that you get illest 5-10 days in, I reckon he had it far earlier than he has admitted and carried on with engagements anyway. Urgh.

I really hope this is a turning point in the election and they vote the imbecile out. That said I wouldn’t be surprised at all if it went the other way.

He's taking dexamethasone, a powerful steroid which has the effect of making you feel on top of the world and full of energy.
I had chemotherapy last year and took dexamethasone once a week. For 24 hours I had strength and energy (and a red face). When it wore off I could barely walk.
I wonder how long he will keep taking it?

Unless you are a US citizen and need to keep informed . Even then I'd say you don't need to be listening to his every pronouncement.
Step back from the news and listening to his drivel. He'd love to think of all the people paying him attention.

I feel utterly sorry for the normal, reasonable, intelligent Americans who see exactly what a narcissistic imbecile he is. It must be truly embarrassing to have your country run by him.

This pandemic has revealed his true colours and yet he seems to have more support from his ‘fans’. Considering we Brits share a language with them and to some extent a culture, when I hear Trump supporters speak I feel we are poles apart.

So you think he is some kind of genius strategist, who has been able to dupe medical staff at Walter Reed, along with all the other people there who would have seen him being treated. And the fact there are many other people around him now testing positive, and the fact the Whitehouse now has more cases than many countries combined? That every other thing he lies about puts him in a position of strength, but he’d lie about this which makes him look like a fool?

What a ridiculous notion. Same with the people who said this about Boris. It isn’t difficult to work out why he isn’t faking it.

This is untrue. His base remains constant. They will support him no matter what, he isn’t losing any support but neither is he gaining any new supporters.

Because they don’t have a better opponent. Exactly what happened her in the U.K. - Conservatives got in because labour was so so bad. Yet both Labour AND republicans will not see/admit the damage they are doing.

People like Trump and Boris get in because the ‘good sides’ became rotten themselves.

I believed he had Covid, but this showboating is starting to make me wonder.

I’m not sure Biden is the right man to take over the job, but he’s got to be better than this crazed imbecile.

Totally agree, it’s all for show, especially as he has stated that he equates illness with weakness. The man is a loose cannon and I just cannot believe that millions of US citizens support him, they must either be brainwashed or brain dead.

Me too, but I doubt that would ever happen. Even if he did by some miracle end up in prison I imagine he'd go the same was as Epstein.

The doctors wouldn't be drawn on the state of his lungs so it's quite possible he's struggling behind the scenes with his breathing.

Watching him on the TV this morning, on the WH balcony, he clearly is struggling with breathing.

I believe he has it, he looked bloody awful when he left the hospital, I mean more than usual. But even a mild dose would take longer than the 4 days he's claiming to get over. I foresee another hospital trip soon and I hope it's really awful for him.

It's makeup isn't it, rather than a tanning bed? No tanning bed would give you a clear demarcation line around the hair line like Trump has, would it?
