For me, defrosting the freezer.

I know, right?! Check ME out!

And to make it even more funky, I woefully underestimated the amount of ice in there and am hearing the plink-plink of a kitchen floor being flooded drop by drop.

Try not to be too jealous.... :o

Finally catching up with this year's sewing bee. Been chipping away at it all week.

redfairy · 03/10/2020 23:17

Doing a Christmas jigsaw. I'm shit at jigsaws but it might stand a chance of being finished for Christmas if I start now And watching Alison Steadman in 'Life' thinking that's about right...Your allegedly loving husband and kids taking the piss out of you for daring to become older. It touched a nerve.

popsydoodle4444 · 03/10/2020 23:18

Was supposed to be spending tonight in a lovely Boutique hotel for my wedding anniversary and enjoying a nice Italian meal.

Instead I'm stuck at home with the kids alone as 2 lazy staff members have called in sick (they basically don't want to work the night shift in this weather) and as the boss DH has had to cover their work.

Spermysextowel · 03/10/2020 23:23

Browsing office chairs. Again. I’ve probably spent more time looking at them than I ever will sitting on one

Spermysextowel · 03/10/2020 23:24

And wondering why my mother ordered the Christmas turkey today.

fahrt · 03/10/2020 23:26

@Tr1skel1on

Just had the most wonderful catch up with an old friend. Now back to reality, deciding which is worse, cleaning the kitchen or dealing with grumpy 14 yo..
Clean the kitchen.

Please.

Staring at phones with the tv droning on in the background just like most of the population

changing35 · 03/10/2020 23:37

3 hours into an 11 hour night shift. Listening to trevor Nelson on Radio 2 Just brought my son some bike lights from Amazon and might have a baby colin caterpillar mini roll in a while

VestaTilley · 03/10/2020 23:37

Cross stitch while watching Gardener’s World Grin I’m 34!

pincertoe · 03/10/2020 23:42

I'm still wearing a top I spilled my tea on hours ago... sexy as fuck 😂

BagpussDearBagpuss · 03/10/2020 23:47

I’ve been knitting myself a cardigan whilst watching Midsomer Murders.

Idroppedthescrewinthetuna · 04/10/2020 00:28

I spend far too many hours cross stitching! All of my friends think I am an old lady! My partner crochets. So he gets all the 'that's girly' We both do diamond painting too!

Gardeners world though, not our thing. We are more animal programmes

This is the latest we have been awake for ages! Only we managed to coax DD from her room (teenager) and spend some time with us! I bet younger kids will have us up extra early!

ScrumptiousBears · 04/10/2020 00:31

In my PJs after a curry and now drinking espresso martinis discussing what to do about DD being bullied at school.

I've eaten too much and drank too much and on WW so gonna regret it in the morning.

Spermysextowel · 04/10/2020 00:33

Pyong. Yes, but she knows that I need 5m of 6mm black elastic, which will get more use than the turkey. My time is occupied by what kind of arms I need on the office chairs that we need & will buy very soon. She should be ordering elastic, not a turkey.

Graphista · 04/10/2020 00:33

Good thing I live alone eh😂😂😂

I settled on "bad moms" which I loved (if anyone can tell me where I can stream "crossing Jordan" I'll be eternally grateful!) Tried "how to be single" but wasn't feeling it now watching "a bad moms Christmas" feeling old seeing Peter Gallagher as a grandad!!

I loved "a simple favor" but I can see how it's not for everyone

@midnightgrace that genuinely sounds exciting

@SimonJT TWO snorers?! Poor you you're buggered mate! That'd drive me crazy!

@2Rebecca you brought WHISKY here to Scotland?! Sacrilege!

And miniatures?!!

Browsing office chairs. Again. I’ve probably spent more time looking at them than I ever will sitting on one happy to be a good influence Wink

Flightsoffancy · 04/10/2020 00:40

Lying in the spare room bed wide awake and fuming over snoring that has sent me here and generally feeling cross with DH. Which is probably unfair as he's lovely but just so frigging oblivious. Doesn't stop the dark thoughts of LTB, even though I don't want to Grin
Living the dream, eh?

onetwothreeadventure · 04/10/2020 00:48

Started the evening organising arts and crafts and sensory play stuff into storage boxes and labelling them with my new label maker.

Browsed kids toy stores in search of a school bus as requested by my two year old alongside rice crispy buns for upcoming birthday.

Finished the evening with crisps and a chilled can of coke crying into a Netflix documentary.

Highlight was obviously the new label maker. I really have to wonder where it’s been all my life

FabulouslyFab · 04/10/2020 08:22

@CindersCatsSister - My evening was made complete by having to go out and check a sick
Pony (he’s doing fine) and I didn’t come back here! The pattern I’m using is
