To offer chocolates if you can find me a self catering trip for Monday?

Last minute due to medical stuff, and like the rest of the country I want to escape. Looking for a self catering, detached place to sleep 2. The usual places I know to look are sold out and our usual budget is around £400 but going to look up to £1200 and I don’t know where to look and most aces are just booked up. Unless I want a 14bed mansion.

I can’t find anywhere, so if you manage to find me somewhere I will send an Amazon gift code to buy chocolates I would be so grateful!

Requirements are self catering, detached (or near enough so no neighbour noise),
Stupidly clean, no high ceilings/spiders
Sea view, or view of water/stream/river or mountains, or not in a middle of a housing estate/feel like you can escape etc.
Any time from today until a week Monday, so a week or M-F from the 5th or F-M from the 9th Oct.
Thinking Devon/Cornwall, Wales (the open bits) Lake District etc

Or I can send flowers!

We spent last weekend at gorgeous house in Devon.. Isolated above bubbling Brook but with pub just down the road.
Really amazing location
I am rubbish at links but it's on air bnb.. Secluded river cottage in 1 acre+pool.. North Devon.

There is a Facebook group called "I Love The Lake District!". A few people on there have asked for last minute ideas in the past week. That would be a good place to look.

Check out Tolcarne Beach apartments, if they have anything, it is just the most fabulous location.

Have you had a look at the site- pitch-up?

PeachForTheStars · 03/10/2020 16:58

This is a nice thread - helpful people and kind offer of chocolates. Mumsnet at its best!

The brook/river is the lynn..yoy can cross it about 50 yards from house and walk along footpath on other side all way to Lynmouth.. Our dogs loved it.. So did we, hardly saw another soul

This place is heaven but it's four nights from Sunday and doesn't want to take a booking from Monday. It's all roll top bath, log burner and sea view. Staithes is magical.

Or probably more what you are looking for 4 nights from Monday www.westwardliving.co.uk/the-paddocks-cosy-romantic-cottage-north-devon

Thanks @PeachForTheStars I didn’t mean to enable voting!
Thank you so much everyone for the replies so far, will check them all out. Medical stuff means some specific requirements and I’d just kept coming up with no where available. Keep them coming!
And I thought an Amazon gift code I can send in a message so you don’t need to send me your address.

Just read your request again and the place I suggested is not detached but very thick walls. Ingrid Flute is the company and we'll worth a good search on there. We have booked with them for about seven years and they are excellent.

Loads here. I'm biased but West Wales is stunning and not in lockdown.

I have a cancellation - it is on a holiday village but is really unique with onsite amenities should you need them. Filey on the Yorkshire coast. Stunning beach. Plenty of room as 3 bedrooms. Only £440 too if booked through my website fileybaydirect.com/meadow-view

Mindblowninbrisvegas · 03/10/2020 17:10

The Mill at Glynhir in rural Carmarthenshire South Wales is stunning. I have no idea how to link which is unhelpful to say the least but it is a lovely place , ridiculously clean , amazing reviews and alpaca in the gorgeous grounds. Def worth a google.
