To offer chocolates if you can find me a self catering trip for Monday?

Last minute due to medical stuff, and like the rest of the country I want to escape. Looking for a self catering, detached place to sleep 2. The usual places I know to look are sold out and our usual budget is around £400 but going to look up to £1200 and I don’t know where to look and most aces are just booked up. Unless I want a 14bed mansion.

I can’t find anywhere, so if you manage to find me somewhere I will send an Amazon gift code to buy chocolates I would be so grateful!

Requirements are self catering, detached (or near enough so no neighbour noise),
Stupidly clean, no high ceilings/spiders
Sea view, or view of water/stream/river or mountains, or not in a middle of a housing estate/feel like you can escape etc.
Any time from today until a week Monday, so a week or M-F from the 5th or F-M from the 9th Oct.
Thinking Devon/Cornwall, Wales (the open bits) Lake District etc

Or I can send flowers!

@SummerHouse that place is beautiful but my own fault for saying we would need parking (we travel with a shit tonne of stuff 😂)
But I am more determined now to be able to sit somewhere and see the sea!

Delux single (sleeps two) roundhouse detached with sea view in Norfolk? Dunes are soul feeding.

RedCatBlueCat · 03/10/2020 17:13

Not detached, but looks pretty solid for minimal neighbour noise in Whitby

Not detached but no noise from the neighbours and it was ridiculously clean! Not a spider in sight.

SummerHouse · 03/10/2020 17:13

Wise call! I now remember we parked at the top of the village and carried all our stuff down. That's no relaxing holiday!

Dog friendly, gorgeous, well looked after. I've been on countless breaks in their gorgeous quirky cottages and loved every one.

I have stayed here and it's wonderful!

Check out Gwel An Mor in Portreath, Cornwall. There lodges are lovely and they are spotless (they fog them with something!)

@SunShinesAutumn - Starts today (or tomorrow). £799 for 5 nights, parking, free standing, view of the sea. There are stairs, BUT there is a bedroom and facilities on the ground floor. It’s in Port Isaac, Cornwall, where they filmed Saving Grace (I’ve attached a picture).

This website is great for the lake district. I can't see any front line lake views but some have stunning scenery out of the window and a lake just around the corner. I particularly love Keswick

Try the tower flat at www.theholidaycastle.co.uk. spectacular sea views of cardigan bay

Reviewsplease · 03/10/2020 17:47

Milford on sea is a nice little place. We stayed at shorefield country park. Once facilities but no views of the sea. Quiet park though.

Just be aware that especially wales more counties could go into local lockdown and Boris seems to like to make announcements on a tuesday.
