I would suck at being a swimmer.

Nursing - bit squeamish.

Cleaning - don't like doing my own, let alone anyone else's.

Anything involving being told exactly what to do all the time by an arsehole manager - I would snap after about 3 minutes.

Social worker - having your hands tied by so much bureaucracy would drive me crackers.

Dog groomer - erm, washing shit stains off someone else's dog's arse?

GinWithASplashOfTonic · 27/09/2020 21:55

Anything to do with the Armed Forces
Model
Mechanic

ifiwasascent · 27/09/2020 21:56

Hairdresser. People have such high expectations and I'd constantly be on edge!

Heartofglass12345 · 27/09/2020 22:10

A waitress, I'm too clumsy! I wouldn't be able to carry trays of food and drinks without dropping them lol
A chef, I get in a flap at home if I'm trying to cook too many different things at once lol

1Morewineplease · 27/09/2020 22:12

Anything medical, driving orIT based.

LunaNorth · 27/09/2020 22:15

Accountant.
Architect.
Dressmaker.
Surgeon.

I’m shit at detail.

LunaNorth · 27/09/2020 22:17

Pest controller. A world of nope.

I'd be dreadful at anything that relies on split second decisions, fireman, paramedic, police etc.
Im quite senior at work, make quick decisions and take a leadership role but I'd freeze in that 'split-second' type role.
I've noticed it as dh would be excellent in that sort of role.

Snugglepumpkin · 27/09/2020 22:23

Any job that ever required you to clap.

M0mmyneedswine · 27/09/2020 22:25

Anything to do with teeth or feet

maresedotes · 27/09/2020 22:26

Air traffic controller. I can't multitask and the responsibility would be too much.

MutteringDarkly · 27/09/2020 22:29

Driving instructor.
Maths teacher.
Anything involving dogs or horses.

Brighterthansunflowers · 27/09/2020 22:29

Anything medical or caring or involving young children as I can’t stand vomit and have panic attacks if I think I might have to deal with it

And I agree with PP who said anything with split second decisions especially if it’s life and death.

IncorrigibleTitmouse · 27/09/2020 22:38

Private sector sales, especially being a sales rep.
Social work because I’m overly empathetic and would lie awake worrying about people.
Anything medical for the same reason.

MarinaMarinara · 27/09/2020 22:42

Anything at all with other people’s children or dogs (fine with my own on both counts but that’s because I love mine so can overlook a lot, when other people’s do the same stuff it is deeply irritating).

Chef. I lack skills and frequently burn food when cooking as I am impatient do tend to have the heat set too high.

Counsellor. Sounds horrendous.

MagnoliaXYZ · 27/09/2020 22:50

Fireman (firewoman?) as scared of fire

Cleaner - hate cleaning

Anything involving killing or any part of it (not vegetarian but couldn't do it and don't like the smell) - abbatoir work, butcher, fishmonger or pest control

FinallyHere · 27/09/2020 23:00

Much better at starting things than finishing them so pretty much need to work with a team around me to clean up after me

Having said that, a PP's suggestion of beauty counter sales would be my idea of hell. Though, I do idly wonder how long I would last. No make up, hair scraped back, flat shoes.

I'd encourage anyone who approached me that they truly beautiful without a scrap of make up. Give them a card for a build your self esteem course to any who persisted.

Probably be prepared to sell body lotion, moisturiser and perfume. And I would ace the gift wrapping. Suspect it wouldn't balance out the no make up look and approach.

Just about to go to sleep. Have a feeling I might have a bit of a nightmare about serving on a beauty counter in muddy walking shoes.

WhenSheWasBad · 27/09/2020 23:07

Anything to do with sport (so dull), I once worked in a factory and I swear I nearly died of boredom.

Couldn’t work outside as I hate being too hot and too cold.

Couldn’t do nursing or caring, I’d run out of empathy pretty quickly. I’m ok

MajesticWhine · 27/09/2020 23:22

I would suck at baking or decorating cakes. Or really anything a bit intricate and neat and tidy.

emilybrontescorsett · 27/09/2020 23:26

Taxi driver.
I have no sense of direction. Dh says he is amazed I can find my way around our house!

CandyLeBonBon · 27/09/2020 23:40

Gotta day some of these answers are hilarious. I hear ya!

SeasonallySnowyPeasant · 27/09/2020 23:46

Zumba instructor. I have zero coordination and just end up marching on the spot through the grapevine nonsense.

Mummadeeze · 27/09/2020 23:46

I was a terrible bar person, smashed countless glasses. Cut my finger open once and fainted. I was also let go from Tesco checkouts for being too slow as I could never find the bar codes on the products. I also know I would be a terrible prison guard because I would be taken in by everyone and would probably feel so sorry for them I would try to help them escape. I am a terrible cook and cake decorator. People ask me to post photos of my cakes on Facebook to laugh at them, so I don’t think that is my forte either. Glad I have found my niche!

Anordinarymum · 27/09/2020 23:47

People management. I am not a leader although I am good with children, I am more of a carer then an organiser
