I would suck at being a swimmer.

Or small children

SeasonallySnowyPeasant · 27/09/2020 20:18

Teaching. I'd be sacked or arrested within a week. I just don't have the patience to deal with constant low-level bad behaviour.

dudsville · 27/09/2020 20:18

Most things, especially now that retirement is on the horizon. I've earned a place in my career where I can be choosy and autonomous. Without that freedom I wouldn't even be good at what I do as my motivation is zapped.

RoseMartha · 27/09/2020 20:18

Anything to do with handling or looking too long at raw meat.

(And no I am not a vegetarian. I do eat meat a couple of days a week, but I can not chop it up in a raw state. This started when home delivery sent me a the wrong size slab of beef (extra large), instead of small portion of diced. At which point I didn't think I could ever eat meat again, but can manage chicken and mince).

eenymeenymineymo · 27/09/2020 20:19

Police woman - but really anything that involves needing to run after robbers & jump walls. Fitness basically.

Id have to stop for a breath about the first lamppost or need a leg up to get over a wall. And the robber by now is far away.

redlockscelt · 27/09/2020 20:20

Teaching.

libbsop · 27/09/2020 20:20

@Pqri what do you do? I am jel

JustCallMeGriffin · 27/09/2020 20:20

Anything requiring me understanding people over the phone or feet. Anything else I'd give it a good go and probably wouldn't be sacked in a week.

WhenTheDragonsCame · 27/09/2020 20:21

Physiotherapist as way too much phlegm 🤢

Igotthemheavyboobs · 27/09/2020 20:22

@Laiste

Anything to do with teeth or feet
God yeah, dentistry! 🤢

I am dreading DS teeth coming out and we are about 9 years away from that starting 😂🤣 he hasn't even got 1 tooth yet!

DipSwimSwoosh · 27/09/2020 20:22

I am really squeamish and dislike animals. I'd make a terrible vet.

Sorka · 27/09/2020 20:24

Anything involving feet.
Anything involving heavy lifting and practical skill like some trades. I don’t even like flat-pack.

Chicchicchicchiclana · 27/09/2020 20:24

Mumsnet moderator

Nursery nurse

Anything corporate (YAWN)

Any place where there are more than 50 employees

Anything to do with statistics, money or cleaning, I just don't engage with those subjects at all.

bethany39 · 27/09/2020 20:25

Teacher!

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 27/09/2020 20:25

I have essential tremor, so surgeon or waitress.

GoldfishParade · 27/09/2020 20:25

I would be a shit surgeon. I'm paranoid, and my hands are pretty shaky.

Bad paramedic. Couldn't hold my nerve under that amount of pressure.

Bad sales assistant in beauty department: couldn't be fucked to groom myself every morning.

Magpiecomplex · 27/09/2020 20:25

Anything that involves working with animals or healthcare.

jessstan2 · 27/09/2020 20:27

Housework.

AdoptedBumpkin · 27/09/2020 20:28

Barmaid, in a rough pub. Would just not be able to relax.

Silentplikebath · 27/09/2020 20:32

Chef - I’m a really terrible cook

JayeAshe · 27/09/2020 20:33

Training other people in any way. If they can do "whatever" I'm wasting my time. If they can't learn from written instructions, I can't be arsed to explain.

Blush
WhatTheFuckHappenedHere · 27/09/2020 20:34

Anything and everything, I work as an academic, so I’m pretty much unemployable in anything else as I have very little common sense and people skills Grin

Lordamighty · 27/09/2020 20:35

Podiatrist, I hate other people’s feet.

iklboo · 27/09/2020 20:35

Anything really physical or needing good balance.

Lantern156 · 27/09/2020 20:39

Anything to do with finance. Public Relations. Personal Assistant. Project Management.
