Brockwell · 27/09/2020 20:41

Anything involving talking to people at length or schmoozing.
I tried nursing and bombed.
I hate confrontation so police is out.
Circus performer.
Jockey.
Anything in winter sports. Or summer sports. Or any sports.

Ragwort · 27/09/2020 20:41

Anything that needs IT skills (most jobs these days) but I love selling, customer service and have happily worked in an old folks home Smile .

Pqri · 27/09/2020 20:42
@Pqri what do you do? I am jel
Data analyst, there's probably lots that do that role that have to interact a lot with other teams/people but I've thankfully got a role that doesn't require any of that, I'm autistic so basically it's the perfect role for me, no social aspect at all apart from once in a blue moon!

Serena1977 · 27/09/2020 20:42

Nurse
Cant cope with bodily fluids!

JoanApple · 27/09/2020 20:42

Anything physical like an outward bounds instructor. I'm too lazy for that shit.

MarieIVanArkleStinks · 27/09/2020 20:43

Acting.
Policing.
Anything involving numeracy.
Middle-management
'Empire' building (in any capacity).
I.T. (too cutthroat)
Aggressive sales.

CandyLeBonBon · 27/09/2020 20:43

High court enforcement/bailiff

I just wouldn't have the heart. Except with my ex!

ladybee28 · 27/09/2020 20:44

Accountant. Insurance broker. Project manager.

Basically if it involves a spreadsheet, I'm already asleep.

Beekeeper1 · 27/09/2020 20:49

Anything which involves being manacled to a computer, shackled to a desk or indeed anything which required me to be indoors

EnidMatilda · 27/09/2020 21:00

Lorry driver! I'd be so stressed and make bad decisions. Driver of any kind actually.

Anything to do with maths. My mind just isn't that way connected.

Estate agent. Just couldn't sell shit houses and lie to house buyers.

Kinkybutkind · 27/09/2020 21:06

Anything involving fish- catching it, preparing it, cooking it, selling it... just ugh no!

yearinyearout · 27/09/2020 21:09

Anything where you have to smile and be nice to knobheads all the time, like working in a shop or waitressing. My tolerance level is low.

Goldensunnydays81 · 27/09/2020 21:11

Having to drive a big hgv lorry or anything to do with eyes. Oh and probably not something where I need great balance! I always fall over 😂

Tootsey11 · 27/09/2020 21:12

Anything to do with feet or helping with toileting/personal care of other people.

Anything else I would try.

EmbarrassedUser · 27/09/2020 21:13

Most practical things because I’m just not practical. So hairdresser, nail technician, any tradesperson plus anything like data analysis (yawn) I’m an OT and I love it so I’ve clearly found my niche.

Redcups64 · 27/09/2020 21:15

Anything that requires working with people or touching people.

I work from home, by myself, for myself, it’s lovely, I just hope Covid doesn’t destroy it!

GoldenPlover · 27/09/2020 21:18

Oh god so many things.

Nurse, waitress, sales, any kind of performer, admin (because I get bored so easily), any kind of physical job, chef, anything to do with maths or science.... Grin

toodlepipsqueaks · 27/09/2020 21:18

Lorry driver. Or a commission-based sales job where I didn't believe in the product.

BillywigSting · 27/09/2020 21:22

Teaching or sales

I came to the conclusion very quickly over lock down that however much teachers get paid it's not enough.

Any kind of desk /office job. I am far too much of a fidget for that.

Anything involving heights of any description.

Anything involving a good deal of physical strength.

VenusClapTrap · 27/09/2020 21:29

Teaching. During home schooling someone asked dd if I was a good teacher. She awarded me 3/10.

Ameanstreakamilewide · 27/09/2020 21:29

@Laiste

Anything to do with teeth or feet
You and me both, Sister! 🤢
Bouledeneige · 27/09/2020 21:35

Teaching - no patience.
Surgery - would crash out in a dead faint
Fighter pilot, steeple jack and crane driver - no good with heights

Thisisworsethananticpated · 27/09/2020 21:36

Teaching
I’d swear at them
And get fired

Ameanstreakamilewide · 27/09/2020 21:41

@toodlepipsqueaks

Lorry driver. Or a commission-based sales job where I didn't believe in the product.
I once had a sales job and I was on commission.

We sold a few landline phones, which had all kinds of knobs and knockers. Lots of flashing lights and ringtones you could download; and daft games, etc.

One day an elderly couple came in asking for a phone and I knew full well they wouldn't want the nonsense we had in stock and they were pretty pricey too.

So, i advised them to go to the Argos next door.

My manager was standing right behind me and heard the whole thing!

He wasn't happy, but I told him that I need to sleep at night.

BookcaseOfWonder · 27/09/2020 21:43

Doctor, pharmacist - I can't be bothered with the fine detail so would probably kill someone with the wrong dose
Dentist, cake decorator - not great with fine motor skills
Cleaner - I just don't seem to be able to get things properly clean and shining
Nurse, carer - anything involving making small talk, saying the right thing and making people feel better
