Fillet steak with blue cheese, pepper sauce, onion rings AND chippy chips

Some type of chocolate pudding/chocolate mousse

Cold Vimto with ice

@ItsAliveItsElectric thanks, I spend a lot of time daydreaming about fantasy menus. Forgot coffee and Armagnac with a few Bahraini dates and After Eights (no substitutes allowed)

Then off for all of us to seats at the bar for Negronis, Old Fashioneds, water between glasses, talking a load of old shit and love all around Smile

Sertchgi123 · 24/09/2020 23:02

Prawn cocktail
Roast beef, Yorkshire pud and trimmings
Blackberry and apple crumble with custard

Bottle of red wine

MarinaMarinara · 24/09/2020 23:08

Oh I love seeing some of the options (and am
Now super hungry!) As calories don’t count I am also magically discounting intolerances so I can happily eat stuff that in real life now makes me poorly (but which I miss so much).

Starter - scallops, pea puree, black pudding, pea shoots. Lovely glass of perfectly chilled (but not too cold) white white. Preferably chablis.

Main - dressed crab salad (little gem lettuce, cucumber, radishes, heritage tomatoes, micro herbs, must all be brilliantly fresh) with homemade aioli, lightly spiced sweet potato fries. Served with Pinot Grigio.

Dessert/cheese - Roquefort, English pecorino, truffled Brie, quince paste, oatcakes and water biscuits (like the Carr’s ones), grapes and a fresh red apple. Copious amounts of port.

JollyYellaHumberElla · 24/09/2020 23:22

Starter, whole dressed crab with crusty white bread, salted butter and lemon wedge to squeeze.

Main, pan fried skate wing with black butter and capers, served with chips. Side order of proper mushy peas.

Pudding, panna cotta with strawberries steeped in Marsala

Cheese, to include a very stinky live Brie de meaux and Stilton with a nice dollop of home made damson chutney.

Bottle of Chablis

Elledouble · 24/09/2020 23:34

Starter - mushrooms and Stilton on garlic toast, couple of G&Ts
Main - tofu Thai ‘drunken noodles’, heavy on the chilli.
Pudding - cappuccino mousse

Plenty of dry white wine to wash it all down 😊

Tillygetsit · 24/09/2020 23:49

Lobster salad
Roast beef dinner with cauliflower cheese, roast parsnips, cabbage, carrots and lashings of red wine gravy.
Deep fried Mars Bar ( tried one under protest last week and OMG!)
Vodka and tonic.

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 25/09/2020 00:01

I get full really quickly in real life so I'm going for the most fillingly calorific options that I'd never be able to manage altogether IRL

Pre-starter (cheating obvs): cheese straws and champagne
Starter: a whole Camembert with baby potatoes and gherkins and some really good charcuterie
Palate cleanser: a green salad with really, really good french dressing, the kind you get in wee bistros in France and you're like 'how is this so good, it's just oil and vinegar?'
Main (switching gears now); a super-luxe, super-spicy curry. Something like lobster tails charred with chilli and garlic. And lots of sides: naan, cauliflower bhaji, more naan, saag paneer, mushroom pakora
Pudding: really dark chocolate fondant

Post-dinner snack: a pizza.

This is the best thread ever,

janetmendoza · 25/09/2020 00:03

Mussels in a cream and white wine sauce
Steak and salad
Ben and jerry's Netflix and Chill'd
Champagne

Lovely1a2b3c · 25/09/2020 00:04

Starter: Tiny pizza bites with various toppings

Main: A vegetarian burger with a side of macaroni cheese and twice-fried chips.

Dessert: A selection tray of little desserts including a Belgian waffle with toffee sauce and ice cream; three tiny Krispy Kreme style doughnuts; a brownie and a Danish pastry with crème anglaise

IncorrigibleTitmouse · 25/09/2020 00:04

Starter - sweet and spicy glazed brussels sprouts.
Main - chicken in a lovely cream, white wine and tarragon sauce with pasta and garlicky spinach.
Dessert - some kind of delicious flourless dark chocolate cake with a really tart raspberry coulis.
Drink - a very cold Chablis.

Perfect! Now I’m hungry.

Lovely1a2b3c · 25/09/2020 00:08

Oh and a 'Walter' to drink; which is like a white Russian made with chocolate milk!

IncyWincyGrownUp · 25/09/2020 01:33

Crispy duck pancakes. Heavy on the spring onions.

Steak cooked medium-rare, with dauphinois potatoes and maybe some pan-fried green beans with garlic and pancetta.

Proper coffee and boozy tiramisu.

Despite being ridiculously fat, I’d only be able to manage two courses in any one sitting though. Maybe save pudding for supper? Grin

MrsTerryPratchett · 25/09/2020 01:38

Beef carpaccio with truffle mayo and rocket
A proper Italian pizza allo zola (Gorgonzola pizza)
