You can choose:

1 starter
1 main
1 dessert/cheeseboard with your favourites on
A drink of your choice

Money no object, or calories. Any cuisine or combination which wouldn't normally be served up together

Mine:

Starter: Chicken tikka pieces with fried onions
Main: Fillet steak, cheesy mash, onions and mushrooms cooked in garlic, veg
Dessert: Millionaires cheesecake
Drink: Sauvignon Blanc, preferably Marlborough.

This is MN, so:
a lettuce leaf
Lettuce leaf and 1/2 tomato
Would be stuffed by then so would have the glass of water for breakfast.

baggies · 24/09/2020 18:39

Forgot to say, a chilled bottle of The Ned Sauvignon blanc!

newnameforthis123 · 24/09/2020 18:41

You should listen to the podcast Off Menu - same premise and it's absolutely hilarious. James Acaster and Ed Gamble are both glorious on it and get some really impressive guests.

I am craving Wagamama at the moment so I’m going for Chicken gyoza, vege katsu curry then a non waga brownie. I’ll have a beer with that please ☺️

Lozz22 · 24/09/2020 18:42

Prawn cocktail
Filet steak with mushrooms, onion rings, chunky chips and a Diane sauce
Pannecotta
Rhubarb and ginger gin with lemonade and a proper filtered coffee with cream

startrek90 · 24/09/2020 18:43

Starter: creamy garlic mushrooms
Main: fresh scampi with fresh pasta and chilli and garlic
Dessert:Chocolate pavlova with cream and dark cherry compote

Drink: Virgin Pina Coladas (I don't drink alcohol) or the same alcohol free champagne I had at my wedding

Notonthestairs · 24/09/2020 18:43

Some of these meals sound amazing.
I'd have:
Stuffed courgettes flowers.
Spaghetti with cherry toms and lobster.
Sticky toffee pud and cream or slab of Stilton and pickles.
Chilled Sauvignon Blanc.

Roundedtail · 24/09/2020 18:46

Starter: calamari with garlic mayo

Main: Crispy duck pancakes with the usual filling, and sweet & sour chicken balls

Dessert: tiramisu cheesecake

Drink: espresso martini or a JD & coke

heymacaroner · 24/09/2020 18:47

Ooh and I forgot drink - any decent red wine. Provided I can still have the baileys with the pudding.
My god I'm hungry now Grin

DBML · 24/09/2020 18:51

Starter: Carrot and Coriander soup with crusty bread

Main: A USA inspired platter - BBQ ribs; mash with skins on; Mac and cheese (that you can cut with a knife); cowboy beans and a big wedge of cornbread.

I’d also have a big slice of Chicago style pizza pie.

Dessert: Wagamamas white chocolate and ginger cheesecake (at least 3 slices)

Drinks: Blueberry pinacoladas and mohitos

Lozz22 · 24/09/2020 18:51

@Ifailed 🤣🤣🤣

Inextremis · 24/09/2020 18:53

Starter - Fruits de mer platter, to include garlic breadcrumb topped mussels, sea urchin roe (with toast), two oysters, and juicy prawns with marie rose sauce.

Main - duck with cherry sauce, potatoes dauphinoise, steamed broccoli, roast parsnips

Pud - white chocolate and raspberry creme brulee

Cheese (because this is my perfect meal, so I can have 4 courses if I want to!) - Stilton and Stinking Bishop with black grapes and some sharp apple slices.

Heaven.

wolfmom · 24/09/2020 18:54

Right now my dream meal would be a sharing selection of dishes from Sanskruti followed by mango sorbet and unlimited mango lassi to drink

Lozz22 · 24/09/2020 18:59

My second choice would be Manny's chophouse related.

A Manny's chophouse Salad with sweet rolls and cinnamon butter. Those who have been will know just how awesome this is!!

A New York strip with garlicky mash

Pudding never had a pudding from there but if they have one maybe a cheese cake

Drink strawberry daiquiri bogof on happy hour

CoconutLassi · 24/09/2020 19:04

Starter: scallops with herb butter from the Thames Lido restaurant in Reading
Main: chicken panang curry from the street food market in Lamai, Koh Samui with sticky rice
Pudding: a massive box of Guylian chocolate seashells
Drink: mango sticky rice cocktail from Mango Thai in Southampton

I know its meant to be dream stuff but I'd love to take all the best courses I've ever had and have them in one meal

KetoPenguin · 24/09/2020 19:05

Whitebait with tartare sauce and bread and butter
Lasagne with garlic bread and salad
Tiramisu
Drink fancy Apple juice
A bit retro and not very keto but it is a fantasy meal.

KeepingPlain · 24/09/2020 19:09

Starter: prawn cocktail with the sauce my mum makes, and halloumi fries

Main course: salmon risotto with cheesy garlic bread

Dessert: small pieces of chocolate torte, chocolate cheesecake and chocolate cake, with custard and cream on the side to use on them.

I'm starving now!

snowstorm2012 · 24/09/2020 19:09

@Wishimaywishimight

Starter: Scallops on a bed of pea risotto Main: Lobster and crab tortellini in a lobster bisque Dessert: A trio - red velvet cake, salted caramel tart and apple doughnut Drink: Cloudy Bay Sauvignon blanc
That sounds perfect! Plus I love Cloudy Bay Sauvignon - has to be a treat wine though when I've first been paid Grin
GameSetMatch · 24/09/2020 19:10

Starter: Breadcrumbed Bocconcini, with a chilli jam and rocket leaves
Main: mushroom stroganoff in a crispy filo basket
Dessert: moist hot chocolate fudge cake with Belgian chocolate pouring sauce

Drink: cola

KeepingPlain · 24/09/2020 19:11

Forgot my drink, coke or cherryade, nah sod it both.

muddledmidget · 24/09/2020 19:11

Mine wouldn't be a 3 course meal, but a Greek mezze with everything coming out just as it was ready.

I'd have dolmades and the stuffed zucchini flowers, fava, Greek salad, sagnaki, chicken souvlaki, sliced potatoes, briam, calamari, beetroot salad

To drink, white wine and then some rough local raki just to give me the oomph to roll myself home.

snowstorm2012 · 24/09/2020 19:14

Every single one of these sound so nice!

Mine would be:-

Starter - any seafood starter
Main - steak (rare), not sure what type of potato - any! And veg
Then creme brûlée or a cheese board (or both, why not 🤷‍♀️)
Malbec to go with the steak 👍🏼

crankysaurus · 24/09/2020 19:14

A pint of prawns
Thai red curry with rice
Trifle
Lots of beer.
