To strongly dislike Nicola Sturgeon right now?

Here to rant that Nicola has gone one step further and banned meeting in homes. She always feels the need to one-up Bojo, and hasn’t even given the rule of 6 she introduced last week a chance to see if it’s working.
Interested to know what the English think - do you think she’s taken it too far, or Bojo hasn’t taken it far enough?!

Seems like such a disparity that in England you can meet with 6 other households indoors and here none 🤯😡🤬😭😭

The NHS is fully devolved in Scotland so any issues should be highlighted to Holyrood

Budget isn't though.

EasyOver · 23/09/2020 19:32

Raise taxes?

LagunaBubbles · 23/09/2020 19:34

Thank you. Its not perfect but is in nowhere near as bad a condition as some people like to try and make out. Especially compared to a lot of services in England. At the moment we are trying to make our service still able to run if there is a second wave as we got shut down for 3 months the last time. More is known about the virus now to which helps.

StoneofDestiny · 23/09/2020 19:39

Covid never disappeared in the UK, infection rates fell but didn't vanish. We have to expect rises in Covid right now as the population has been encouraged to open shops, go back to work, go to school, go to university and take holidays 'staycation style'. More mingling brings more risks.
If our leaders try and reduce infection rates again we have to reverse the mixing and mingling. Of course that would bring economic effects as well as social ones - as well as the side effect of people infuriated that they cannot meet family or friends in the places they want.

Kolsch · 23/09/2020 19:39

I can't abide Krankie, never could.

EasyOver · 23/09/2020 19:40

Used to quite like her but can’t stand her now. She comes on the TV I turn it straight off.

SBTLove · 23/09/2020 20:18

@Kolsch
You showed yourself with that.

ssd · 23/09/2020 20:38

Yup. Pathetic.

StoneofDestiny · 23/09/2020 21:03

Yep - real deep

IncandescentSilver · 23/09/2020 21:56

Sort of getting a rhythm about it now.

Komacho · 23/09/2020 22:08

@Babdoc

Thanks to Sturgeon’s illogical and stupid rules, I cannot meet my daughter safely in my home for lunch, but I AM allowed to meet her for lunch in a restaurant full of potentially infected people. No wonder Scotland has the third worst Covid death rate in Europe. And a worse percentage of care home deaths than England.
Nicola Sturgeon could single-handedly solve world hunger and you'd still hate her.
WaxOnFeckOff · 23/09/2020 22:12

That's your take from that post Komacho?

That's the most bizzare thing ever.

EasyOver · 23/09/2020 22:21

Sturgeon can’t even organise track and trace after 6 months so it’s highly unlikely she’ll cure world hunger. Nice attempt at deflection though

sonicbook · 23/09/2020 22:24

Here we go. 🙄

Roll on independence.

What's bizarre is the language used to describe NS repeatedly on these threads.

Moronic, stupid, idiotic, wee krankie.

Clearly she is none of these things. You might not agree with her politics but resorting to name calling?

Utterly tragic 🙈

sonicbook · 23/09/2020 22:25

@EasyOver is our track and trace system not up and running? Genuinely asking. I thought that it was. Lots of people i know have been contacted etc.

EasyOver · 23/09/2020 22:29

Sorry, wrong thread.

SBTLove · 23/09/2020 22:29

@sonicbook
Yes it’s up and running, hence why the increase in Glasgow cases was linked to household gatherings.
This post has been a real eye opener to the vitriol towards NS,much of it with inaccurate nonsense, just twisted to suit their own agendas.

Track and trace is doing pretty well here isn’t it? I know loads of people who are isolating after being in contact with positive testers. What’s the issue with it?
EasyOver · 23/09/2020 22:30

But the figures in Glasgow keep rising and dragging Scotland down with it.

SBTLove · 23/09/2020 22:33

And why are numbers rising? because ppl won’t adhere to guidelines is why, it’s really not difficult to figure out. So numbers rise, restrictions come in and still moaning goes on. What do ppl want NS to come round and check their house every night for unwanted visitors??

lyralalala · 23/09/2020 22:35

It's got to be up and running in some form because my cousin was given a code to put in the app when she tested positive. It flagged up to her husband's app that he'd been in contact with someone and told him to isolate.

Pumperthepumper · 23/09/2020 22:35

Wtf does this mean? So a total lockdown in Glasgow only is your solution, nobody in or out?
sonicbook · 23/09/2020 22:37

400 missing positive cases is alarming but what does it mean? The article is unclear even by the Herald's standards. Missing how? Missing because track and trace lost their numbers or because the positive cases are non compliant?

What does Glasgow's high cases are dragging Scotland down mean?

Clearly I'm lacking the ability to read and comprehend today! It has been a long day to be fair to me 😃

lyralalala · 23/09/2020 22:39

@EasyOver

Figures are rising all over Scotland. Yes, in Glasgow they are rising sharper, but didn't they say every single health authority has had a rise?

If they just left it everywhere would end up rising and rising.
