To strongly dislike Nicola Sturgeon right now?

Here to rant that Nicola has gone one step further and banned meeting in homes. She always feels the need to one-up Bojo, and hasn’t even given the rule of 6 she introduced last week a chance to see if it’s working.
Interested to know what the English think - do you think she’s taken it too far, or Bojo hasn’t taken it far enough?!

Seems like such a disparity that in England you can meet with 6 other households indoors and here none 🤯😡🤬😭😭

That’s my assessment too. I think that is all the explanation Incandescent needs - the rest is wasted time. Can’t imagine living amongst people and their chosen government if I reviled them and their choices so much.

Oh come on. Nobody is that obtuse.

I am in the camp that says covid has no political affiliations and our best chance of beating it is to all work together sensibly and resume party lines when its over, if we must.

Its good to have sensible if heated debate about the pros and cons of politicians and governments and their decisions - politicians who after all, are in the public eye, and have critical responsibilities at this time.

A sensible debate without wholly unconstructive personal abuse, name-calling, allegation slinging and downright trolling would be great and useful. Ho hum.

I wish people would stop things other people said to me. I said I love the Highlands, Islands, North East and Edinburgh but I wouldn't want to live in the SNP heartlands which as everyone kniws are Glasgow, Dundee and parts of the Central belt.

It was actually a completely different poster that you originally accused of not liking Scotland, before you all jumped on me.

But I'm honestly really shocked at the amount of racism here. I have never been asked why I live here before by any Scot. I wouldnt dream of interrogating a non Dutch person as to why they lived in The Netherlands. Neither would I start accusing them of all sorts if they dared to express a political view.

Really this is awful that some Scottish people are like this.

Even though there is a 'review' in a few weeks, I very much doubt she will row back from her position now or in the future, instilling such hard draconian measures already when we have at least six months to go would deeply upset me too. Especially as we are nowhere near the numbers or hospital admissions in early spring. What is wrong with simply waiting for a few weeks to see if there are other ways to get the infection rate down rather than going in so hard now, before even knowing if other things can and will work.

Once this kind of measure is put into place it will be very hard to change, mainly because NS and the SNP have nailed her colours to the mast so to speak, and saving face is more important, and getting one over on 'westminster' comes before all else.

I feel deeply sorry for everyone that is now effectively cut off from their families and friends for the best part of six months. Terrible for them, heartbreaking in equal measure. The mental health impact of this measure will be enormous. I hope they have a plan to help people that are really going to struggle with being alone for so long over the winter.

So if someone moved to the Netherlands and then constantly complained about it and insulted and generalised it's people you wouldn't wonder why they wanted to live there?
