to think I’m going to have to be cut out of this bloody Molke bra

The women of Mumsnet convinced me it would be a good idea to buy one. I bought one based on my measurements and another (bigger one) based on my standard bra size. I only managed to get the big one on with DH’s best wrestling skills and I’m not convinced I’ll ever get back out of it. In fairness, it’s comfortable, but if I have to wear it forever, it really needs to be.

Was this a massive scam? Is there a secret zip? Do I need hypermobile shoulders?

Sad that it’s has to be either/or.

And tbh they really don’t look that comfortable.

cravingthelook · 21/09/2020 16:30

@Cadent it's not about looking sexy. Just not wearing cartoon underwear that looks like it would make me lopsided.
I wear comfortable and pretty and grown up underwear.

Oldraver · 21/09/2020 16:53

I wear the soft moded bras that are similar, as in no nband to undo

I always put it on by stepping in and pulling up. Ive got a knackered shoulder though, so this helps

WiddlinDiddlin · 21/09/2020 17:06

I put up with the hard to get on/off because they are by far the most comfy once on, of any bra, ever.. and I have massive norks that require a lot of support.

But I don't think its possible that every bra will suit every woman, so if they aren't for you.. that's just fine. Be nice if folk could pack in slagging them off for those of us who DO like them and find them comfy though?

Oh do cock off dearie, grown up underwear indeed! I'm no fan but you can't get much more grown up than an XXL Thunder. Let women wear whatever the hell they like!

FallonsTeaRoom · 21/09/2020 18:00

Well that's one thing I won't be buying. Shock

midgebabe · 21/09/2020 18:05

Find it funny when people say they look aweful. Like we MUST all like the same thing or the world will fall apart or something. I much prefer them to anything that looks like lace scaffolding

ArabellaScott · 21/09/2020 18:15

I'd put up with a bra that looked like anything if it was comfy. But I didn't find Molke even a bit comfy. A bra shouldn't give you a blinding headache.

Bluntness100 · 21/09/2020 18:15

Gosh I googled too, they really are very unappealing.

I do empathise though. I once put a dress on in a boutique shop changing room and couldn’t for the life of me get it off again. I ended up having to ask an assistant to help, took the two of them to pull it off me.

On the actual shop floor. Because rhe changing room was two small for such activity, Much to my daughters sheer horror, she was early teens at the time. Particularly as I was in my underwear and shouting encouragements such as “cmon put your back into it, it’s gotta come off! “

When they eventually got it off, one said “ would you like to buy it” l I responded with “well, no of course not” Went back into thr changing room got myself dressed and walked out all brave like I didn’t give a shit. Inside I was hot, sweaty and dying of embarrassment. No one wants to be pulled out of a dress like that in a shop, but it was literally that, or buy it and walk out wearing it.

Some defensive posts here, interesting. It’s as if the owners are on here trying to turn round public opinion ...

When people say they look awful (not me), they’re talking about their own opinion obviously, which they’re allowed to do.

Be nice if folk could pack in slagging them off for those of us who DO like them and find them comfy though?

And as I bought one on the basis of uniformly positive feedback on here in the past, I bloody will share my experience that it was uncomfortable, tight and a waste of money thanks.

KitKatastrophe · 21/09/2020 18:22

I just watched that Father Ted clip. What is going on with this mannequin? 😂

It's a bloody bra. If you're starting to take comments about a bra personally, maybe it's time to step away from the internet.

KitKatastrophe · 21/09/2020 18:27

I have a few of the bras which I bought during pregnancy and I'm wearing currently while breastfeeding. I do find them really comfortable and handy for feeding in (much easier than a "nursing bra") but I'm not sure I'll keep them after I finish breastfeeding. They do show under most of my summer clothing.

I dont like the look of the pants though and some of the prints are a bit silly.

Exactly. I bought one after reading all the glowing reviews, and now this thread is full of women with bad experiences, I'm suspicious as to how they have 100% good reviews on Facebook. Surely by now, somebody would've written something negative about them, apart from in this thread I mean?
CaMePlaitPas · 21/09/2020 18:38

@bluntness100 I am so sorry you had that experience but I must admit your story made me laugh!

Diva66 · 21/09/2020 18:56

I just googled it, they look horrible.

randomsabreuse · 21/09/2020 18:57

I discovered Molke when I was a long way off the size chart for most bras (28KK) so I had limited (no) options.

The lift is better than most normal bras more or less my size although I have hopes of some Polish bras...

Newfornow · 21/09/2020 18:59

Never heard of this despite my ample bosom.
It looks bloody hideous. I shall not be in investing in one. The weird middle crossover looks like a joke.

madcatladyforever · 21/09/2020 19:03

I'll wear anything thats comfortable - I even have a couple of Doreens in my collection Grin

madcatladyforever · 21/09/2020 19:04

Trouble is that kind of fabric shows through clothes too easily, I only ever wear skin coloured underwear for that reason. I bought a couple of brightly pattered bras once and you could see them through all of my clothes.

ZoeTurtle · 21/09/2020 19:06

It's not just that they look terrible on their own, but they don't give a good shape to most women either, and they don't look good under clothes. Comfortable bras are great. These are... not.

ArabellaScott · 21/09/2020 21:35

Doreens are good. Triumph are really one of the few bras that seem to work for me (excessively boobed) only unfortunate it's all so very nylon.

midgebabe · 21/09/2020 21:53

Yet when i switched to molke bras I had a number of people compliment me with things like " you've lost weight" ( I was bravissimo before that so properly fitted )

QuestionableMouse · 21/09/2020 21:56

@Popcornismandatory

I'd love to have the problem of trying to get out of one. I've been trying to buy one since the beginning of this year and they NEVER have anything in my size - not even the weird colours 🤔
@Popcornismandatory there's a Facebook group where people buy and sell them. Worth a try?
midgebabe · 21/09/2020 22:00

@Popcornismandatory have you emailed ? They may add your size to their to do list or give you a likely date to check
