to think I’m going to have to be cut out of this bloody Molke bra

The women of Mumsnet convinced me it would be a good idea to buy one. I bought one based on my measurements and another (bigger one) based on my standard bra size. I only managed to get the big one on with DH’s best wrestling skills and I’m not convinced I’ll ever get back out of it. In fairness, it’s comfortable, but if I have to wear it forever, it really needs to be.

Was this a massive scam? Is there a secret zip? Do I need hypermobile shoulders?

I got stuck in a sequinned dress once that was scratchy as hell. After what felt like 15 painful minutes of trying to wrestle my way out of it, I discovered there was a long concealed zip down the side. I had fear of having to buy and wear it home from the shopping centre and I didn’t even like it.

Oh dear god, this thread is hilarious.

tectonicplates · 21/09/2020 12:54

@TestingTestingWonTooFree OP did you manage to escape from the bra in the end?

Cassilis · 21/09/2020 13:02

Does it actually offer support than a standard pull on bra? I have some that I bought in the market for 3 for £10 and they’re great but give minimal lift. Do Molke bras lift the boobs?

TSSDNCOP · 21/09/2020 13:03

I once got stuck in a sequinned best top in the Karen Millen changing room; a top that looked big enough on the hanger wasn't and was in fact so tight the sequins raised up and pointed out horizontally.

No way it would go up. The 15 minutes it took me to slowly wriggle it down over my hips still make me shudder.

AriettyHomily · 21/09/2020 13:04

I'm confused as to what they are - sports bras? Bras with no wires? The pants too. I'm not one for skimpies but no not for me.

Bupkis · 21/09/2020 13:07

I once got stuck in a pair of jeans in a communal changing room, only managing to escape whilst exposing my moon like arse to the room.

(I like a Molke bra, find them comfortable and give me good shape and support - the adoration of them by Molke lovers is a little cult like though.)

willitbetonight · 21/09/2020 13:11

God they are vile. Cut yourself out.

Bwlch · 21/09/2020 13:12

I just googled them and was presented with a load of somewhat curvy women wearing what looks like children's underwear.

Not for me.

FlaviaAlbiaWantsLangClegBack · 21/09/2020 13:18

oakleaffy GrinGrin

Thank you for sacrificing yourself OP I did see them advertised and wondered if they'd be comfy but I think I'll stick to bravissimo after all Grin

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 21/09/2020 13:18

Wonder no more, I have escaped. It was much easier than getting into it. They do give hugely better lift/shape (at least at my large cupsize) than a standard yoga/crop top.

tectonicplates · 21/09/2020 13:19

But will you be keeping it or sending it back?

Wheresthepostie · 21/09/2020 13:19

Sweet Jesus.

Wouldn't be seen dead in a Molke.

Do women actually LIKE those hideous prints?! Shock although I must say, in a way, these are the most Mumsnet thing I've ever seen.

PeppaPigMakesMeGrrrrr · 21/09/2020 13:19

I'm here to ruin all the molke hate, sorry guys! I love them. They are comfortable and they do give good shape to my massive boobs on my smaller frame. I no longer have to go to m&s and sob in the changing rooms when the bras don't fit properly. And I no longer have welts in my shoulders and bleeding under my arms from underwiring. Don't judge they on their appearance....they've honestly made my life 100% better!😂

CrunchyNutNC · 21/09/2020 13:23

I tried them but found the crossover thing at the front very uncomfortable, there didn't seem to be an even sized space on each side.

Buzlightyear1 · 21/09/2020 13:31

Oh no I hate being stuck in anything. I once tried a pair of welly boots on I have size 3 feet but fat legs as I found out😂 I put them on then tried to get them if and the air kinda sucked out and it was like a vacuum pulling🤦 Not my finest moment I did freak out and it was in a shop. I will never ever try them in again i realise welly boots are not for me and my fat legs😂

MandosHatHair · 21/09/2020 13:33

They don't look very well made, the models arent all naturally lopsided are they? Reminds me of when my friend first took up sewing, before she became amazing with practice.

SorryImKnew · 21/09/2020 13:39

All the little wrinkles in them. They're awful things. I imagine it's akin to wearing a boa constrictor under your bubelage.

SorryImKnew · 21/09/2020 13:40

On another note, I never wear a bra to bed. In fact, the only time I wear a bra is when I'm in public. Me and bras don't get on. First thing to be taken off when I arrive in the door.

TheNoodlesIncident · 21/09/2020 13:41

I got stuck inside my swimsuit once, I was in our holiday apartment bathroom trying not to come over all faint as I twisted and writhed around like a salmon in a net. I'm sure I heard a couple of threads give way before I managed to release a portion of my frame too.

Fortunately I was about to go in the shower anyway, good thing because I sweated so much in my panic. I did briefly have that crazy notion that I would trapped in it for life, it was only a couple of seconds but it honestly felt far longer.

Normally wear bikinis on holiday but this had been a waterpark day and I'm always afraid of wardrobe malfunction in waterparks, so a costume it has to be!

SorryImKnew · 21/09/2020 13:43

The patterns are like something you'd see on a little boy's underpants.

Boaby · 21/09/2020 14:06

They are made in the wee village I live in...had no idea 🤷‍♀️

SoftMick · 21/09/2020 14:29

Will you be moving now?
cravingthelook · 21/09/2020 14:32

I see people raving about them but honestly they look awful

Cadent · 21/09/2020 14:40

@cravingthelook you can get them in plain black or white. Sad that so many women would rather look sexy than be comfortable.
