to think I’m going to have to be cut out of this bloody Molke bra

The women of Mumsnet convinced me it would be a good idea to buy one. I bought one based on my measurements and another (bigger one) based on my standard bra size. I only managed to get the big one on with DH’s best wrestling skills and I’m not convinced I’ll ever get back out of it. In fairness, it’s comfortable, but if I have to wear it forever, it really needs to be.

Was this a massive scam? Is there a secret zip? Do I need hypermobile shoulders?

Good grief they're hideous, and seem to make the models look somewhat lop sided.

WeeWelshWoman · 20/09/2020 21:06

I hate Molke
They just do not fit me. Small underbody, large bust. To get meaningful support I can't get the bloody things on over my boobs..ergh.

WeeWelshWoman · 20/09/2020 21:06

I quite like the Bravissimo sleep bras for a lounge about bra. Comfy.

SparklyLeprechaun · 20/09/2020 21:08

Never heard of them but I googled and I don't get it. What is supposed to be their selling point? If they are not super comfy to make up for the lack of shape and support?

Havaiana · 20/09/2020 21:09

The most comfortable wired bra I ever had was a DKNY one (in the style of a t-shirt bra) I picked up in TK Maxx for a tenner. Are they known for their comfort?

vanillandhoney · 20/09/2020 21:10

They look awful! Why are they recommended?

If you want comfort, go for Sloggi.

123rd · 20/09/2020 21:10

I had never heard of them either. Just googled too-and there is a YouTube video on how to get in & out of them. You are not alone OP!
They don't look very nice to me.

AllTheCakes · 20/09/2020 21:10

Ewww, I’m all for comfort but they look hideous! I hope DH sets you free and you can return the monstrosity to where it came from.

They look ridiculous and they're expensive.

emwithme · 20/09/2020 21:33

God I LOVE my Molkes. Yes, its a bit of a struggle to get on if I'm even slightly damp from the shower but otherwise it's fine. It gives me excellent lift and support to my droopy (100 lbs weight loss) 32JJ breastfeeding boobs.

You kind of have to put them on in stages - and take them off in reverse - I put head in but don't pull down, left arm, right arm, pull back down, smooth front band flat over top of boobs at front, hoick each boob into the cup separately, then run fingers round the seams to make sure they're sitting smoothly. All while having 21 month old DD roar at me if it's a dino day

Jellycatspyjamas · 20/09/2020 21:34

I’d never expect to have sex again if my DH saw the girls encased in that monstrosity.

BingIsAMassiveTwat · 20/09/2020 21:36

Just coming to spread some positivity for Molke here, they may look different but they are truly the most comfortable, supportive and good shape bra i have ever owned. Bonus points for being good for breastfeeding too. I'm a 30J right now and trying to find anything else to contain them has been impossible. Yes they are difficult to get on and off at times, but otherwise fantastic.

Coughsyrupsucks · 20/09/2020 21:38

I got one half on, got stuck, had a panic attack and OH had to pull it off me. It got sent back, I felt like a right wally Grin

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 20/09/2020 21:43

What on earth can you wear them under? Nothing low necked, nothing strappy, and they’d show through an awful lot of tops. Although I’ll grant you that I do a lot of moaning about the fact that so many tops are slightly see-through these days.

HotPatootiebootie · 20/09/2020 21:52

Matryoshka clothing (formerly crease free clothing) on face book do made to measure bras with matching knickers and are cheaper. I think £35 for bra and £15 fur knickers but they also do undie clubs and you can get matching sets for adults and kids etc. The stash builder is a cheaper option and more plain prints. I love mine and only wear their bras and knickers. Mega comfy and you can choose strap style, waist band , cut, depth etc. My knickers are granny pants with a double waist band and my knickers meet my bra and they are soooooo Comfy. They also Di swim wear. Definitely worth a look.

I found them as I have rheumatoid arthritis and can't do back fattening bras and V under wire kills my boobs . I find these to be WONDERFUL

Jesus Christ what the hell are those things

12309845653ghydrvj · 20/09/2020 21:54

Just googled them, need to go wash my eyes out 😭

Davros · 20/09/2020 21:56

Not just me then. After fighting my way out, without resorting to the scissors, I sent it back. Never again!

QueenOllie · 20/09/2020 21:56

I don't get why people are being so shitty about them. No, they're not to everyone's taste but I can tell you that finding a comfortable wire free bra that gives actual uplift when you're a K cup is like the holy grail
Would I wear it on a night out? No. But WFH, lazing about, sleeping etc it's fantastic
I also wear it for hospital - metal free for MRI, comfortable enough to sleep in, was brilliant after plastic surgery in my armpit

LeSquigh · 20/09/2020 21:57

I have heard them mentioned in here before and now I’ve looked at their website I remember why I didn’t order them. They are HIDEOUS. They look like they make your boobs a funny shape, awful designs and look like something a teenager would wear before they needed a real bra. They don’t look supportive at all. Horrible!

Mydogmylife · 20/09/2020 22:04

Bloody hell, they are GHASTLY looking things

SuzieCarmichael · 20/09/2020 22:06

Well if he does end up rescuing you I expect it’ll make a great story for your golden wedding anniversary party 😂

ItsAlwaysSunnyOnMN · 20/09/2020 22:08

They don’t give a very nice shape Or look supportive

Would wear one at home but shall keep to a cheap sports bras as my home bras

LunaNorth · 20/09/2020 22:11

Just googled. I like the funky patterns.
