to think I’m going to have to be cut out of this bloody Molke bra

The women of Mumsnet convinced me it would be a good idea to buy one. I bought one based on my measurements and another (bigger one) based on my standard bra size. I only managed to get the big one on with DH’s best wrestling skills and I’m not convinced I’ll ever get back out of it. In fairness, it’s comfortable, but if I have to wear it forever, it really needs to be.

Was this a massive scam? Is there a secret zip? Do I need hypermobile shoulders?

@FippertyGibbett

I had a panic attack when I got stuck in a sports bra once 🤣
LOL....Ditto stuck in home made jersey mum made... It was terrifying , blundering about with wool over my 8 yr old face.
oakleaffy · 20/09/2020 23:07

Cannot BEAR tight bra bands. I need to breathe, to expand rib cage, so tight band big cups sounds an utter nightmare.
Never heard of them though.

SuzieCarmichael · 20/09/2020 23:13

Sportjock, anyone?

Funguy · 20/09/2020 23:14

Gawd what ugly bras. I just googled it ,some look the size of binbags.

QueenOllie · 20/09/2020 23:20

@Funguy HmmHmmHmm seriously? We can't all have teeny pert boobs that need a slither of lace. Molke or not, some people's bras aren't going to be small and not much you can do about that

I was surprised, too...They are not the usual bra for sure...Very big, but fair play to manufacturers, made in Perthshire, and aiming to be ''Body Positive'' .. Many bra manufacturers only use svelte, trim, honed and perfect models... Molke is aiming to be ''Body Positive'' which can only be a good thing.

Not ''Sexy'' for sure....A male equivalent would be bright and garish 1970's baggy Y fronts.

Ginfordinner · 20/09/2020 23:22

but they’re like the crocs of bras,

That made me laugh out loud.

I'm only a 32B Sad, so have no need of these, but I must admit that they are the most hideous bras I have ever seen.Why can't they make them with a clasp that you can do up rather than something you have to pull over your head?

rosiethehen · 20/09/2020 23:23

Yeah, they're awful and size small. I hate mine and I definitely ordered the right size. Bloody expensive waste.

RichPetunia · 20/09/2020 23:28

There’s a you tube video showing you how to get in and out of the Molke bra.

oakleaffy · 20/09/2020 23:32

Who wants to wrestle and need a video to show how to get into and out of a bra?

Eek...You tube is excellent for ''How to replace tray in Worcester Bosch Boiler'' but if a bra needs instructions... that shows people must have issues doing battle with them.

ItsAlwaysSunnyOnMN · 20/09/2020 23:33

Many bra manufacturers use plus size models now for bigger cup bras

And the bras look nice the shape is nice these look awful and fugly. Yes the crocs of bras

Melroses · 20/09/2020 23:35

I would get trapped in one of those.

I have tried the Bravissimo one too and it has the same problem that all these bras have with a narrow band, where you end up with a monoboob and encased.

I used to have a night time maternity bra which was a similar shape but it did actually wrap over (rather than looking like a wrapover) and fastened either side. That was really comfortable and I could get in and out of it.

I have two molke bras, which I love. I use them as sleep/lounge bras. I don't wear them under clothes, only with pjs.
They're supposedly the same size and material, but they are completely different. One is much smaller and tighter than the other, so I don't think their sizing is very consistent.

Holy heart, it is an over the shoulder boulder holder.

Oh my goodness...This thread has at least given me a good laugh this evening ..

Started the morning with someone on You Tube saying their Va jay jay was worn out and sloppy like an old Jalopy...and now ''Over the shoulder boulder holder''

Would men be as bold ?
''My manhood resembles a month old carrot found at the bottom of a veg rack''

Or ''My beer belly reminds my missus of a giant white puffball''
Probably not.

madcatladyforever · 21/09/2020 00:05

Oh God I live on my own, I dare not get one.
I remember an incident when I used to motorbike to work and my bike jacket zip broke. It took two nurses and one doctor to get the darned thing off over my head everyone pulling plus a nauseous fit in the middle where it was stuck over my face and I'm shouting cut it off, cut it off.
Eventually it came off along with my teashirt and my bra as well.
These were my colleagues and I'm neither young nor slim. The shame.

LOL!!!!! Oh my goodness...that must have been horrifically claustrophobic ! I asked Casualty to cut me out of an ''over the head'' thick fleece, but they are pretty good at getting clothing off... But a leather biker jacket?.... Bloody hell! That's another league entirely! 😂
Took · 21/09/2020 00:15

I'm clearly in the minority but I think they look really nice!
But I'll never get to find out if they’re comfy or not as too expensive - I just got a 2 packs of bras in the clearance section of Sainsbury's for £7. Last of the big spenders me. 😂

Would the famous ''Father Ted'' episode be as funny in the 'Molke' dept though?? 😂
lunalulu · 21/09/2020 04:34

@Toddlerteaplease

Just googled them. God, they are dreadful!
This!

I'm sorry and not being unkind but really they look absolutely horrible! And the pants!!!!

Singularly unattractive. Sorry. ...

lunalulu · 21/09/2020 04:36

@Jellycatspyjamas

I’d never expect to have sex again if my DH saw the girls encased in that monstrosity.
😂👌
famousforwrongreason · 21/09/2020 04:49

Jesus. Never heard of them. Just googled, Presumably these are for breastfeeding? they're vile and remind me of my severe postnatal depression days.

steff13 · 21/09/2020 04:55

@Sexnotgender

Oh the fear when you get stuck in something!
Isn't it awful? It's so ridiculous, there's no way you'll be stuck in that dress/blouse/bra/whatever for the rest of your life, but the fear is so real.
SchadenfreudePersonified · 21/09/2020 06:13

Getting stuck in clothing you are trying on in a shop is the worst thing.

Staggering out of the changing cubicle, blind, half-suffocated and unable to move your arms any more because that are encased in what appears to be a strait-jacket and lumbering your way to the desk where the assistant is lurking in the ope os sweet release . . .
