Why do we need our own white board?
The main boards are white by default, you wouldn't get much specifically tailored advice on black issues, just like Scotsnet.
Just what exactly is it that everyone is so loudly against black people being able to talk freely amongst themselves like others do, Craicsnte/Scotsnet etc - so why can't they have a voice too?
The screenshot of yours too - I've been on the threads, it's absolutely rubbish to say that no white people allowed at all.
If that's how people are interpreting it, maybe think about why?
It was said no making it all about me me me, shouting down, minimising etc

I think I might ask for a working class forum. That be nice so we can talk about our issues.
Middle classes get your own forum. Yes there may be a lot of repetition and similarities but so what. Least this will be our space so we can discuss what is relevevant to us. You can pop in if you want and see how we differ and learn about us.

Nothing wrong with wanting a space to talk about issues specifically facing black women if enough people want to use it .

I will be coming over to read up on on race issues and get some insight into what black women think about things where they are disproportionately affected. I live in a very white area with lots of retirees which isn’t eye opening on issues of the day !

Yes, there is. 1. My dc are half black and 2. I hate segregation and don't want them to see that.

I'm not talking specifically about on an anonymous forum, I'm talking about in life. In general, throughout history, in context, etc. etc. Do I really need to spell it out? Racism doesn't exist in a vacuum, it exists within a power structure. White people, in the west at least, have historically held the power when it comes to racial divides, owing to centuries of Eurocentric and western beliefs and structures which continue to give privilege to white people and centre whiteness.

If @Xenia had a super high income board I'd read it tbf. I'd say it'd be mad entertaining, though possibly unintentionally so.

Glad this happened. Like others on the thread, I was appalled at the slew of dimwit racism on threads discussing something that really isn't controversial. And kudos to @PatricksRum and others for grace under pressure.
