Disagree! The Wet brush has longer bristles so gets through more of DC hair, the tangle teaser only gets the surface hair...

Sanitisethat · 16/09/2020 08:28

I find that for my very thick hair the wet brush is better, but a tangle teaser is still miles better than a regular brush!

ThousandsAreSailing · 16/09/2020 08:29

YABU the wet brush is far better

monsterad · 16/09/2020 08:30

I'm outnumbered already! Wow. I just don't get what's so special about the wet brush. It's just a brush

Not tried the wet brush, but the tangle teaser is shite. I use an afro comb to de-knot my hair.

SoupDragon · 16/09/2020 08:46

I've just googled the wet brush and can't see what is so amazing about it. I've had brushes like that since the 80s.

imaflutteringkite · 16/09/2020 08:47

Only if the wet brush is just a bit rubbish because the tangle teaser is totally useless. It doesn't comb right through just moves the top hair about a bit.

Sciurus83 · 16/09/2020 08:49

The wet brush looks like a regular brush but it so isn't. There's something about the way the bristles bend that makes it quite unique. Though I like a tangle teezer too, both good, i like a handle so wet brush for me, but TT for DD

Sciurus83 · 16/09/2020 08:50

wet brush much better for thicker hair, TT for fine or you'll be there forever!

Pinkywoo · 16/09/2020 08:51

I bought a tangle teaser after hearing all the hype but every time I use it it ends up flying across the bathroom, put a bloody handle on it!

newsyoucanuse · 16/09/2020 08:55

The TAngle Teaser is queen of the brushes in our house,,,

Sanitisethat · 16/09/2020 08:57

Yeah, there is definitely something unique about the wet brush! It’s the only one that gets all the way through my hair but never tugs. I think it’s the shape and flexibility of the bristles.

The tangle teaser does a reasonable job of the top layer of my hair but doesn’t get all the way through, so it’s still tangled underneath.

WaffleCash · 16/09/2020 08:58

Tangle teaser is only any good for giving the illusion of brushed hair by just brushing the top surface. No idea about the other one but it can't be worse surely

lioncitygirl · 16/09/2020 08:58

Wet brush is far far superior - my daughter and I have very vey long (always) tangled hair. We have about 6 wet brushes and 2 tangle t’s. We never use the latter.

TheFormerPorpentinaScamander · 16/09/2020 09:00

The wet brush (assume we are taking about the one made by tangle teaser?) Is the only brush I have found that goes through DS' insanely thick hair and doesn't pull which means his hair is brushed and in a pony tail in less than 5 mins rather than the 30 we used to spend slowly getting knots out. It also brushes my fine, bleach damaged hair without pulling out handfuls.

Aworldofmyown · 16/09/2020 09:03

We have fine hair but masses of it. So the tangle teaser is no good for us. Now googling the wet brush 🙂

bruffin · 16/09/2020 09:05

DD has really thick hair and the tangle teaser goes through her hair really well, but i find it works best on wet hair and i used to use one after swimming on myself.
Just googled wet brush and its just the cheap brush i buy from Tiger Tiger for much cheaper.
My favorite every day brush is this leo bancroft cushion brush it goes through thick hair really well

I bought a tangle teaser after hearing all the hype but every time I use it it ends up flying across the bathroom, put a bloody handle on it!

The tangle teezers we have , have a handle

whatswithtodaytoday · 16/09/2020 09:07

Nope, wet brush is better for both my hair (straight, fine, thin) and my partner's (curly, fine, thick). I used to use a tangle teezer and they are good, but wet brush is better.

Alongcameacat · 16/09/2020 09:07

I stopped using the tangle teaser when I bought the wet brush. It’s far better at going through knots without breaking, the bristles are better and the handle is far easier to use. I haven’t used the tangle teaser fir about two years now.

MrsPerfect12 · 16/09/2020 09:08

Wet brush for me!

JonHammIsMyJamm · 16/09/2020 09:09

Tangle Teaser thick and curly for me.

hollygoflightly · 16/09/2020 09:09

Wet brush is amazing. My daughter has crazy thick hair and the tangle teezer made hair brushing so horrible and tearful. Wet brush was a revelation in comparison.

GU24Mum · 16/09/2020 09:10

The wet brush is wonderful - don't understand the hype about the Tangle Teasers!

Lucked · 16/09/2020 09:10

A good old fashioned paddle brush beats them both hands down.

Bbang · 16/09/2020 09:17

Wet brush is far superior! I have fine hair but a lot of it and it’s very long so it tangles badly, the wet brush is the only one that glides through it without pulling or damaging my hair. It’s the only one the kids will use also they say the tangle teaser is scratchy.
