Never used the wet brush, a tangle teezer is fine, if necessary but this blows them both out of the water - This brush actually changed my life.

Wet brush is the best here, my daughter cries with paddle brushes and tangle teasers but is fine with a wet brush. We both have long thick hair.

DD and I have Manta brushes
Flexible silicone , easier to hold than a TT , has a handle/grip that fits between your index/middle finger .

I have that one but didn’t get on with it due to the bristles.

Looking at the wet brush, my hair would not get on with it. Those little nubs would be a nightmare.

I use the tangle teaser for wet hair (it has a handle) and it does a great job. My hair is fine but tends to tangle near the root regardless if I tex-lax my hair or not. Detangling is easier and quicker when my hair is damp and has product in it and I use this. Also, works with both of my sons who have thicker hair which is silkier in most areas and coarse in others.

For our family, YANBU

Where is everyone buying their handled ones from? I bought the wet hair one because it was the only one that had a handle Confused

Air motion pro all the way here

WooMaWang · 16/09/2020 10:12

They’re both crap in my experience.

The wet brush can’t cope with my long, thick hair at all. The bristles just end up out of shape and my hair still isn’t brushed properly.

The tangle teaser is slightly less useless but still no good.

A normal hairbrush works much, much better.

SpecialWGM · 16/09/2020 10:31

Best brush ever isn't a brush it's the Revlon 1 step styler. I literally take my hair from my towel, spray with heat protection and then use that to brush and dry my tangled hair. Even when I'm not blow drying my hair and letting it air dry I use the styler just to brush it and flatten my hair.

IAteAlltheAvocadoPears · 16/09/2020 10:33

My hair is fine thick curly and I never brush it. Just wash it and put coconut oil leave in conditioner and comb with wide toothed comb. Job done.

Jarline · 16/09/2020 14:10

Get the wet brush Pro, the bristles are longer!

Thisismytimetoshine · 16/09/2020 14:13

Wet brush is a pile of shite.

Toddlerteaplease · 16/09/2020 14:43

Tangle teaser is fab on my long haired Persian cat!

junecat · 16/09/2020 15:19

Works brilliantly on my Ragdoll too Grin

linerforlife · 16/09/2020 15:22

YABU. Wet brush all the way.

WildAboutMyPlanet · 16/09/2020 15:39

Tangle teaser utterly shredded my hair to pieces, did unbelievable damage, never again.

GuyFawkesDay · 16/09/2020 15:44

Wet brush every time.

And better than paddle brush too

I have no idea what they do to make wet brushed but they're MAGIC

Crossandcrochety · 16/09/2020 15:50

Wet brush without a doubt. Works brilliantly on my long, thick, knot-prone hair. Also the only hairbrush my ASD DS will tolerate without screaming.

scrivette · 16/09/2020 15:53

Wet Brush is better on the hair in our house, especially when wet, it seems to be more gentle but gets through thicker hair.

jellyfrizz · 16/09/2020 16:19

Sorry OP, the Wet Brush pisses all over the Tangle Teaser.

Housewife2010 · 16/09/2020 16:19

I've tried them both and think they're rubbish. I prefer to use a wide tooth comb with conditioner in the shower to detangle and to use the far superior Mason Pearson brush when it's dry. Brushing wet hair is such a terrible idea as it is at its weakest when it's wet. I don't know why everyone does it now with these brushes.

KipperTheFrog · 16/09/2020 16:23

Tangle teezer for DD2, she has such fine hair it works well without hurting her head.
Bog standard paddle brush for DD1 who has much more hair. DO people use the wet brush on dry hair? I was put off when it said only for use on wet hair on the pack!
Wide tooth comb for me!

FedUpAtHomeTroels · 16/09/2020 16:25

Tangle teaser on Dd works great, wet brush not so much and lots of whining. TT no whining. Long thick hair.
New solution she got her hair cut short, no fuss and easy to brush still using the TT
Mines too curly so do as poster above does.

HerNameWasEliza · 16/09/2020 16:48

tangle tweezers are useless for thick hair. Bristles just get the top layer and if you then try and do it from behind they get a small layer there too leaving a large amount of tangles in the middle. Maybe good for fine hair but ours went in the bin.

AfterSchoolWorry · 16/09/2020 17:24

Dd has bum length thick curly hair. Wet brush for the win.

GuyFawkesDay · 16/09/2020 20:25

Use the wet brush mostly on dry hair!
