How much do you end up spending on Botox and fillers per year

I am 45 and beginning to look like hell. I know the price of Botox per thing but don’t know how much it ends up costing per year. How much do you end up sending year in year out? I am a Londoner. Thanks.

@Glitteryone indeed... I agree.
so to reply to OPs actual question... Botox and prophilo 2-3 times a year. Approx £500 per time. I love it. I don’t look ‘done’ but it freshens up and is therefore a boost around for me

bengalcat · 15/09/2020 23:15

@300 per time - do it 2-3 x per year

Nikhedonia · 15/09/2020 23:19

£900pa on botox
£320pa on lip filler

Doingtheboxerbeat · 15/09/2020 23:20

@Glitteryone, I agree 100%, so utterly pointless. I don't have it/ or need it, so I wasn't planning to commenting but jeez, since when would anyone stop wearing makeup or whatever just because a snarky stranger on the Internet doesn't need to?

stopgap · 15/09/2020 23:20

I get Botox done twice a year. I’m 43. It’s $1000 per visit, but I see a top Manhattan plastic surgeon who does amazing, subtle work.

Doingtheboxerbeat · 15/09/2020 23:21

Sorry for typos in my rant Blush.

RaininSummer · 15/09/2020 23:23

Cripes. Nothing ever and I am nearly 58. I just don't get it.

RefuseTheLies · 15/09/2020 23:24

£240 three or four times per year for botox. I had fillers done (cheeks and chin) recently which was about £500, but I’m not in a hurry to do it again. I absolutely fucking love the botox though (I’m early 40s).

Notimeforaname · 15/09/2020 23:24

Is there a good or certain age to start? Or is it just when you notice the wrinkles..?

froggygoneacourting · 15/09/2020 23:24

I realise people might be critical but I get the very cheap Botox (£100 a go) at Superdrug on the Strand, just on my 11 lines. I’ve always been extremely happy with the result which is subtle.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 15/09/2020 23:27

Op asked. £0.

I’ve heard it can be good for pain management though so I would be interested to know if it works. That’s my priority right now.

pluiedeprintemps · 15/09/2020 23:29

Botox 12 times a year - 6000 euros but paid for by my insurance

( mild cerebral palsy and I have it in my legs ;-) )

Flatpackback · 15/09/2020 23:33

£0 at 67. I might tackle the misery lines soon though, I look permanently grumpy.

tinkerbellvspredator · 15/09/2020 23:34

I think you can start looking too much in the mirror, worrying about looking older and getting sucked into the idea of needing to do things like this. Hearing about all the people that do it reinforces that it's ok/ the right thing to do. And when people start they often get more and more into 'fixing' other things.

I felt like that a few years ago, I had 1 lot of baby botox. I felt so ill for 2 days that I was googling the 'horror stories' and terrified. I did quite like that my forehead was a bit more smooth but the illness put me off doing it again.

I thought about how damaging it is to be searching for youth, concerned about appearances and how important to accept yourself for who you are. And now I dont think about it and not tempted to do anything.

Also at the same time I had a phase of wearing a bit of makeup to work, which I didn't before. Didn't last long and wear it even less now, hardly ever even for a night out which I would do before. So for me it's about mindset.

Lifeisforalimitedperiodonly · 15/09/2020 23:37

I would like to try it - am I too old? I am 59. All I want doing are my number 11 lines and my local beauty studio has a nurse who visits once a month to do it.

PickAChew · 15/09/2020 23:39

Nothing.

LadyFrumpington · 15/09/2020 23:42

Fillers its 1.5k once a year and worth it!

QueenPaws · 15/09/2020 23:42

I don't have it all the time but I pay £99 for 2 areas (11 lines and forehead)
I haven't had any for a year but usually 1-2 times a year does me (age 36)

DollyDoneMore · 15/09/2020 23:43
  1. £0.
NancyBotwinBloom · 15/09/2020 23:46

Liverpool

41

£600/£400 a year. Once every four or six months, three areas.

RitaMills · 15/09/2020 23:48

£250 on botox 3 times per year
£300 on fillers every 8/9 months

I’m 37 and feel this is worth the money.

TheSmallAssassin · 15/09/2020 23:59

I can understand why people are commenting £0, same for me. It is actually OK to look 45, you are fine as you are and you don't look like hell.

Catra · 16/09/2020 00:04

I'm 41 and I've had botox every 4 months since I was 32, bar pregnancy & lockdown (£195 per treatment) due to deep grooves in my forehead. Not needed fillers (yet) ...

littlemsattitude · 16/09/2020 00:05

Nothing, I don't want to look like a barbie doll.

bridgetreilly · 16/09/2020 00:10

Nothing, because it looks grim.
