Whether you agree with them or not... do you?

I only do when the first few people I come across arent wearing masks. Then I'll spot someone in one and relax.

Theworldisfullofgs · 11/09/2020 19:38

*dick.

But I don't feel like a duck either

loulouljh · 11/09/2020 19:38

Happy to be a dick without one on!

SchrodingersImmigrant · 11/09/2020 19:39

@loulouljh

I avoid places where they are required at all costs..have not been in a shop for weeks. They are hideous and uncomfortable and are clearly not working!
That's saying like washing hands isn't obviously working. It is a combination of things people are supposed to do that works. Not just 1 single one. Sadly some people are being very stupid about all of it from wearing mask under nose to not washing their hands regularly. It's not masks what's not working. It's some people's brains.

Also. Mine are certainly not hideous 😁

thenightsky · 11/09/2020 19:39

I do feel like a bit of a dick, yes. But I do like the fact that I don't have to wipe sweat off my nose and chin because the mask just absorbs it (menopausal hot sweats). Ditto drippy hayfever nose.

Thisisnotnormal69 · 11/09/2020 19:39

No I find it normal now. BUT..(and this may just be me)..for some reason my brain seems to think covering my mouth/nose is the same as wearing sunglasses and I catch myself looking at people for longer than I would usually (like you might with dark sunglasses when they can’t see you). And then suddenly with a jolt my brain remembers it’s not the same!! Blush

aquashiv · 11/09/2020 19:40

I do.

gamerchick · 11/09/2020 19:41

Nah, forget I've got it on now.

RingtheBells · 11/09/2020 19:42

I was careful to choose ones that don’t show sweat marks and snot, I wouldn’t like to have sweaty armpit looking face mask

@randomsabreuse

Nope, but I do feel like I'm about to rob the place...

flirtygirl · 11/09/2020 19:42

I feel like I'm cosplaying.

Until my sunglasses steam up and I can't see a thing, then I feel stupid.

However I think we should have all been wearing masks from the beginning and I made sure all in my house did. True medical exemptions only, even my autistic dd has adjusted. Yes some people cannot wear them or adjust to them but the majority can.

FelicityBob · 11/09/2020 19:42

I like the fact my pointy nose is hidden and nobody knows if I’ve got a giant spot

TimeFlysWhenYoureHavingRum · 11/09/2020 19:42

Nope.

wigglerose · 11/09/2020 19:43

No, I feel a dickhead if I forget it.

user1497207191 · 11/09/2020 19:43

Nope, quickly forget I'm wearing it.

Witchcraftandhokum · 11/09/2020 19:44

No. But I do feel an absolute dick everytime I stand in front of a class of 30 kids (anything up to 16 year old's) without one and having to follow the useless government information and the rules issued by my school. I wish I could challenge it, but need the job.

FlatScreenTV01 · 11/09/2020 19:44

Tsk

MrsMayo · 11/09/2020 19:45

I did at first but don't anymore. I've just been food shopping with DH and I said it just feels normal now and I think we will be wearing them for a while.

LookMoreCloselier · 11/09/2020 19:45

I don't mind them for popping into a shop but I dont like trying to communicate with it on, my voice sounds muffled and I am slightly hard of hearing so I struggle to hear what others are saying. I have had to wear them in a work setting dealing with customers and I really didn't like that. I dont feel like chatting with it on, just go away.

Oaktree55 · 11/09/2020 19:46

No I look younger 😆

NameChange1966 · 11/09/2020 19:46

No, I don’t notice anymore

ParisianLady · 11/09/2020 19:47

I'm looking at the upsides, less money spent on lipstick and top lip waxing

SchrodingersImmigrant · 11/09/2020 19:49

I feel much more confident in shops because people are not sneezing and coughing all over the veg and fruit😁 I know you wash it, but still. I saw people sneeze at bloody bakery stuff. Now I buy only pre wrapped hoping staff was better behaved than customers. Masks are annoying, but awesome.

gingerwhinger0 · 11/09/2020 19:49

I look like a dick wearing one, coz my glasses steam up if I don’t put the mask on right, or my head gets too hot.
