Whether you agree with them or not... do you?

For all those who says this feels normal...just be careful. Do you want this as your new reality????? What is next. Be careful what you accept and use some analysis and independent thought.

RingtheBells · 11/09/2020 19:50

Yes I am a bit deaf and sometimes struggle to hear which sometimes results in me shouting from behind my mask as I imagine they are as deaf as me

Spidey66 · 11/09/2020 19:50

Yes.

thisisnotus · 11/09/2020 19:50

Yes I feel like a dick and I don't like wearing a face covering, despite looking better with most of my face covered up 😆

I'm looking forward to not having to wear them.

MrsMayo · 11/09/2020 19:50

@Oaktree55

No I look younger 😆
I got asked to remove my mask to see if I could buy alcohol. I'm late 40's. Felt good Grin .

I was one who said it and I agree with you.

I don’t really!

But according to my kids I’m embarrassing when I start darth vadering....

SchrodingersImmigrant · 11/09/2020 19:52

For those having issues with steaming up glasses. The metal bendy strips in masks help considerably. If you have diy masks, you can buy strips on amazon for good price. They really help.

Showandtell1 · 11/09/2020 19:52

@Corono

Although funnily enough you’ll find that many dickheads have a “medical exemption”.

💯 %

Definitely this
GlendaSugarbeanIsJudgingYou · 11/09/2020 19:57

@Cheeseybites

I look better in a mask! Since it covers half my face Sad
:o

I'm getting more and more creative with my eye makeup.

Batshitbeautycosmeticsltd · 11/09/2020 19:58

I had to take Roaccutane to get rid of acne. Ever since then, I have to be very careful about anything on my face - I don't even use moisturiser (I can use eye makeup and lipstick/gloss) and only use water to cleanse my face.

I put a mask on, doesn't matter what it's made of, to go out and I get spots, nasty, huge spots.

I spent a lot of money and time getting rid of scars. So I limit going out.

Remmy123 · 11/09/2020 19:58

Feel like a huge dick and like I'm staring in the Handmades Tale

everythingisginandroses · 11/09/2020 19:59

No. I only regret that fewer people seem to find me slightly threatening when I'm out wearing one now, but it's a small price to pay.

LokiDoki75 · 11/09/2020 19:59

I felt like a right prat at first, but at least I’m not getting any more “Cheer up love, might never ‘appen” comments as it does do a marvellous job of hiding my resting bitch face. On the downside, there is now the risk that I look more friendly and approachable - eww!

Sootybear · 11/09/2020 20:00

Hate them and feel like a dick as my glasses steam up, I can't see, I hum when I'm wearing one, probably loudly, I get too hot, they are a faff, fishing one out of my bag before going into a shop, and my smile is my best feature, so I look older, steamed up, red faced and humming to myself. Not a good look.

MissPoldark · 11/09/2020 20:00

But we’re just poor sheeple who can’t think for ourselves HmmHmm

Oh, yes, this.

Rumtopf · 11/09/2020 20:02

Of course not. I've been wearing one since March although it is nice now not to get dickheads being rude.

Ginfordinner · 11/09/2020 20:02

@minipie

No, cos everyone’s in them.
This ^^
Aridane · 11/09/2020 20:02

I find it’s really easy to smile. Probably because y eyes crinkle when I smile and the. I can see the other person smiling back as their eyes crinkle too

vodkaredbullgirl · 11/09/2020 20:03

No I don't.

peanutbutterandbanana · 11/09/2020 20:03

No, pretty much like I don't feel a dick when I wear a seat belt, or stop at red traffic-lights.

Satsuma2 · 11/09/2020 20:04

No. I love hiding behind them, no need to worry about chin hairs or double chins. I'm almost hoping we have to wear them for evermore! It does steam my glasses up, despite the many ways that are supposed to stop that happening.

TheSeedsOfADream · 11/09/2020 20:05

Nope. But I'm in Italy and been in one since March.
Schools going back in a week and hopefully we'll all be wearing them there too. Dd's school (where I also work) has sent an email saying masks will be worn. The govt will be providing 11 million daily apparently to schools, but I don't reckon that will happen so I'm sticking up now.

TroysMammy · 11/09/2020 20:05

I seem to hold my mouth shut, probably not to get lipstick on it. I don't need to wear one at work so obviously have to apply lipstick so I don't look dead when I'm there.
