Whether you agree with them or not... do you?

I do! I’m ok in shops but we have them at work now and I just feel daft!

Jaxhog · 11/09/2020 18:55

At first, yes. But if it saves lives then I'll get used to it.

Hendalle · 11/09/2020 18:55

No. But it has made me realize how often I smile at people - all the time.. and I feel like a bit of a dick for that especially when I’m wearing sunglasses and my entire face is covered. I feel like a complete loon!

orchidsonabudget · 11/09/2020 18:56

Nope

FredaFox · 11/09/2020 18:57

NopeHmm

Cheeseybites · 11/09/2020 18:57

I look better in a mask! Since it covers half my face Sad

The80sweregreat · 11/09/2020 18:57

I hate them as I feel I can't breath but what I look like I just don't care as most others look weird as well! It's become part of my life now!

crosser62 · 11/09/2020 18:57

No don’t feel like a dick.
But do feel constantly like I want to rip the fecking thing off my head and stamp all over it.
I have one stuck to my head for upwards of 10 hours a bloody day.
The wonderful freedom when out in fresh air feels luxurious when I do rip the thing off and stuff it into the bin.

slipperywhensparticus · 11/09/2020 18:58

actually i do feel bit of a twat in one no one can see me smile so i end up waving like a fucking dickhead 👋 all over the place im 45 and I think i might have a hearing issue because I'm having trouble hearing people in a mask they can't be thst unclear its just a scrap of fucking fabric WHY CANT I HEAR

FourTeaFallOut · 11/09/2020 18:59

No. I look like a goddamned ninja but underneath, more and more like Magnum Pi. What's not to like?

topcat2014 · 11/09/2020 18:59

A bit, I didn't wear one until you had to

LouisBalfour · 11/09/2020 19:00

I do - I feel self-conscious and idiotic looking.

When I see others wearing the fabric types that are often too small for their faces or stick out like a beak, I cringe too.

I know we all have to just get on with it - but we all look like berks.

ChanceChanceChance · 11/09/2020 19:00

Sometimes when I first put it on but I soon forget again. Is harder when others aren't wearing them. I find the more like the mask the easier it is.

TenDays · 11/09/2020 19:02

I make my own, complete with valves, in various glamorous fabrics. They're just another accessory for me!

Bargebill19 · 11/09/2020 19:02

I feel like I’m a terrible bank riobber who talk too much and end up walk-in globe John Cleese - masks and varifocals are not compatible. (I tried half a dozen different styles)

HowDeeDooDee · 11/09/2020 19:04

Nope. I feel more secure and safe wearing them.

RingtheBells · 11/09/2020 19:04

If I wear a buff pulled up if I’m just popping in a shop I feel like Dick Turpin

Carouselfish · 11/09/2020 19:04

No, but I look at people without them in crowded places and think they are.

QuacksInTheDark · 11/09/2020 19:05

No.

LockdownLump · 11/09/2020 19:05

Nope. It hides my double chin and I don't feel like putting make up on when I'm going to the shops.

FourTeaFallOut · 11/09/2020 19:06

Actually, the weirdest thing about masks for me is when I smile at someone and then realise that they can't see it anyway. I end up being more animated to compensate. That's odd. I won't get use to that, I don't think.

MrsMigginsPie · 11/09/2020 19:06

I’ve been through several stages. Used to feel self conscious, then felt quite sad about it, now accepted it. New normal, eh?!

WhoWouldHaveThoughtThat · 11/09/2020 19:06

If you are feeling a d**k in a mask - you might want to question if they have a specific medical condition before venturing any further...

RuggerHug · 11/09/2020 19:07

I can't be the only one who's miming along to whatever's on my headphones so it's like I'm staring in a music video? Mask hides that😁

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 11/09/2020 19:07

Nope i think everyone pretending they have a medical exemption so they dont have to wear one are dicks. I actually heard 2 men in tesco carpark yesterday saying they werent going to wear a mask when a third man said "but what if you get stopped" their response was "well say we have asthma they cant prove we dont" now they are dicks
