Caplin · 10/09/2020 00:06

I’ve met a few already mentioned. But most famous have been:
George and Amal Clooney
Prince Charles and Princess Anne
Emma Thomson
Colin Firth
Sylvester Stallone

Lots of B, C and Z listers including most of Towie.

My fave was Christopher Biggins. Met him twice and he is just wonderful.

Winniewonka · 10/09/2020 00:08

Not exactly met but I was behind Bill Nighy when he was buying clothes in a London shop.

Also I was once on the front row of the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester. It's theatre in the round so your seats are literally on the stage with the actors. It was a Noel Coward play with Sam Heughan (pre Outlander) and Will Young. They might as well have been in my lounge, we were so close! Both men are extremely handsome in the flesh and taller than you think.

Rula Lenka (Dennis Waterman ex wife) I was in Nottingham near the theatre royal didn’t realise who she was until next day she was on loose women as a guest.
Carl froch the boxer he was in in our local Tesco with his wife, I couldn’t understand stand why I knew (I thought personally) it took ages to who he was

Fiddlersgreen · 10/09/2020 00:13

Hard to judge most famous as it can be quite subjective depending on what you’re into.

Mine would be
Stereophonics
Noel Fielding
Rob Brydon
Janine from Eastenders
Abbey Clancy
Nell McAndrew

Justaboy · 10/09/2020 00:16

Met me, myself and I ...

SingingInTheShithouse · 10/09/2020 00:16

I've a list, but I'd guess David Bowie is probably the most famous

MostIneptThatEverStepped · 10/09/2020 00:16

Tony Blackburn 😂

I have actually met some much more interesting and famous people but that one tickled me because it was unexpected.

MrsEricBana · 10/09/2020 00:16

Starksforthewin · 10/09/2020 00:39

Mine are mainly tennis players and musicians, via previous job roles.

Roger Federer I met on a few occasions and he was beyond charming, extremely polite and friendly to everyone at the venue, no matter who you were.
Nadal also well mannered and low key.
Djokovic was a Djerk! Pompous and low key aggressive, especially to women. He’s got a problem, that lad.

Musicians I’ve met, Simon Rattle, Rostropovich, Howard Keel.. 😀
Bobby Womack. King of Soul, voice so deep it made my ears go funny!

Crylittlesister · 10/09/2020 00:44

I suspect I shall now win the thread with my offering of Anita Dobson.

ViciousJackdaw · 10/09/2020 00:48

@Crylittlesister

I suspect I shall now win the thread with my offering of Anita Dobson.
Sir King Kenny Dalglish. Under very sad circs, a long time ago but will always remember how kind he was.
