The T20 England cricket team of 2017. DH won a competition to train with them for a day and I was his guest. We got hospitality and chatted to them over lunch. The whole team signed out mini bats too.

I also met Dawn French at a service station.

Twiggy! Signing her book. I asked her to write 'Lush... style icon'. The withering look she gave me said it all.

Sophie Dahl & Jamie Cullum at Thomas Land (I know, the glamour).
I clocked sophie in the playground as she was wearing a smart tailored coat & had an expensive bag when the rest of the mums were in jeans & hoodies, didn't know who she was though. Wandered over to look at the owls with DS who then tried to wake them up. The couple standing next to me giggled at him so I turned to smile...at Jamie & Sophie. He was teeny but better looking in real life. They both seemed very unassuming & chilled.

VesperLynne · 11/09/2020 23:43

Boris Johnson

Well I can name a few that I see quite often only because they live near me. Holly Willoughby, Gary Lineker, Stanley Tucci and Emily Blunts sister (who is married to Stanley)

Also around 6/7years ago, a footballer who played for Hull at the time (not sure if he still plays or not) started hitting on me while I was with my friend at a shisha lounge.
He was with a group of others. I didn't know who he was until he took my Instagram and followed me.
Chatted a few times via Instagram message but he was just looking for some Wink He asked me to go to his hotel room wearing only my coat and underwear. Blocked him and deleted. I had too much pride Grin
Made me cringe

Several pps have asked about Colin Firth. I've never met him but an exbf worked on a couple of films with him and said he was possibly the dullest man on the planet. In one of the Kingsman movies he did a scene with a top female star (sorry, cant remember who: possibly Cameron Diaz??) and the poor woman was practically in a coma with boredom.

Princess Di (when I was little): very shy.
Prince William: Entitled petulant berk.
Kate Middleton: Like talking to a houseplant.
David Tennant: Lovely but more shy than you’d think. His wife’s a super bitch.
Elton John: Doesn’t know how to use Zoom properly.
Colin Firth: Extremely polite.
Mark Gatiss: Kinda rude.
Matthew McFayden: Very rude.
Christopher Eccleston: Amazing!
James Purefoy - consumes with bitterness that he’s not Colin Firth.
David Attenborough- amazing!

Pp upthread mentioned Pat Butcher from Eastenders. She came into my day job (I used to work in a museum) and we had a really lovely long chat about education. After maybe 10 mins she asked what I did career-wise outside the museum I said I was trying to become an actor and she recoiled like I’d said trying to become a serial killer and ran away.
