@Waxonwaxoff0

Johnny Depp. A friend and I went to London for a weekend and he was there for the premiere of the second Pirates of the Caribbean movie. He was lovely to me and my friend.
I'm so jealous. I know he's a bit of shit and lots of bad press but I absolutely love him. I think I'd wet my self if i met him. I know that's such a lame fan thing to say but I'd come over all giddy. I dream about meeting him.

I have a family member in stage & screen. They have A Listers phone numbers 😱

Apparently;

Colin Firth is as much of a gentleman and delight as you'd expect.

Henry Cavill is down to earth, funny and a nice guy.

Olivia Coleman is exactly as lovely as you'd expect. Caring and funny.

Matt Smith is a delight

Greg Wise is charming, witty and has "the twinkle" off screen as well as on.

RandomGirl · 11/09/2020 21:35

Ted Roach from The Bill. Arsehole.

wineandcatsandlego · 11/09/2020 21:39

Randomly bumped into Eric Cantona and family at about midnight at a Bangkok side street cafe in their Chinatown district when I was on honeymoon. Love the photo we took with him, me with a big sweaty beaming face, DH looking a bit bemused (he not a football fan)

I went to a reception at Buckingham Palace when I was about 21, so met the Queen and Prince Edward. The Queen is very small. I spoke to Prince Edward and he was nice. Gordon Brown was there too, Michael Howard was very friendly - he had just quit as leader of the Conservatives and I think felt his life was a lot better for it!

The most bizarre thing - other than the teens I was with getting tipsy on free champagne at Buckingham Palace - was Ian Paisley lying over a bench/chairs ignoring everyone. The toilets were really impressive too.

WatershipDown7 · 11/09/2020 21:53

Please can everyone say what their impressions of each person were. It’s too tantalising for words!

Lady Gaga - sweet, tiny, down to earth, and engaged in every word you say
Lewis Capaldi - shy and lovely
Tony Hadley - he was nice too, baffled as to how I knew him as I was so young!

Colouringaddict · 11/09/2020 22:02

DH had coffee with Jimmy Somerville in the BBC canteen while they were waiting for their slot on Top of the Pops. He met and a long convo with Robert Carlisle who he said was lovely and really down to earth.
But I win..... I had a drink with Showaddywaddy after a concert in the mid 90’s, I had been a fan as a kid so started a bit star struck (I have led a sheltered life) but by the 4th shot we were friendly 😂

QueenofLouisiana · 11/09/2020 22:03

@WatershipDown7
Ok:
Prince William: nice, polite, keen to help in a difficult situation- he was working on the air ambulance (I wasn’t linked to the emergency but was present in a supporting role). Disappeared behind the helicopter When a rumour sent lots of people to go looking to see if it was him.
Gonch- opinionated, in love with himself
Mary Archer- fragrant
