Jess that's a lovely story about Anthony Head, I've never had strong feelings about him but I really like him now 😍

FutureDays · 11/09/2020 17:57

@MoonSauce

Wonderstuff, Neds Atomic Dustbin, Carter USM, Boring Bob and Johnny Helmer, Chumbawamba, New Model Army, James' guitarist (forgotten his name), Reel Big Fish, Levellers, two Eastenders actresses (one a big name, just can't remember it), someone from Antiques Roadshow, a comedienne (notice I'm shit with names?), and am absolute load of bands and musicians which most people reading this have probably not heard of.
@moonsauce what a list, especially Levellers & New Model Army, from festivals?
VickyEadieofThigh · 11/09/2020 17:57

Michael Palin. He was as lovely as you'd expect him to be.

IndieTara · 11/09/2020 17:59

Julie Walters, Murray Walker, Tony Iommi, Phil Collins, Graham Norton, Noddy Holder, Martin Brundle, Blaze Bailey.

GingeAndTonic · 11/09/2020 17:59

Benedict Cumberbatch. He came into my work to do some research, in 2008 just before he became really famous, so I wasn't starstruck and he was very nice and normal.

David Attenborough, same workplace, a year later. I spent half a day invigilating some material that was being filmed, and he was talking to camera. He was lovely - chatty, friendly - exactly as you would hope he would be, and I was totally starstruck. He noticed I was standing, and offered me his seat; I said it was fine. Smile Whoever said 'don't meet your heroes' had never met him!

We've had Bill Bailey and Tom Hollander in, I saw them but didn't meet them, and I'm still quite sad that I was off when Michael Palin visited.

fatimashortbread · 11/09/2020 18:00

We went to a festival and were really impressed with a singer who had an audience of about nine. We politely clapped at the end.

Months later we discovered the singer was Ed ! 😂
