Elderflower14 · 11/09/2020 15:06

@Jessi1972 Sorry that was for you too!!

LadyOfTheCanyon · 11/09/2020 17:14

@FOKKYFC

Ah that's so lovely. Ive met him a couple of times, both very briefly but he was such a charming and polite man.

Your story has made me well up a little it's so nice to know there are still people out there who may have fame and recognition but are still kind and humble enough to know how to use their fame for good.

Kurt Cobain.

Lightningrain · 11/09/2020 17:34

Jonny Evans (Leicester City player) almost bumped into me and was very apologetic.

Also stayed in the same hotel as Peter Andre once. Saw him around a few times but didn’t want to disturb him on his holiday.

Diana Rigg back in the 80s at a corporate party in soho when I was a junior graphic designer at 17 but knew her from reruns of the Advengers. She was so glamorous, she’ll be missed.

Manolin · 11/09/2020 17:39

ilovesushi · 11/09/2020 17:41

No. The Anthony Steward Head aka Giles poster wins!

SongRiver · 11/09/2020 17:45

Sue Perkins - lovely lady, wanted to take my rescue beagle home with her! It was at a dog show, met Peter Egan, Rachel Riley, Pascha Kovalev and Ricky Gervais there too.

IrishNinja · 11/09/2020 17:46

Declan Donnelly - I gave him a fake phone number. In my defence he was more of PJ and Duncan fame at the time, plus about 5 inches shorter than me. I was a very shallow teenager!
James McAvoy. Also a fair bit shorter than me but by this time I was a much more mature thirty something. Sadly he didn't ask me for number. I'm sure only because I was with my other half Grin
Jack Nicholson - actually met is a bit of a stretch. I was staying with a friend in London, having random chat with old fella in a newsagent. I knew he looked familiar but couldn't place him. Newsagent told me after who I'd been chatting to!
Aled Jones: I was a bit drunk and thought he was my cousin. In my defence they look very alike without a bottle and a half of wine! He was obviously lovely about it if a little startled by the drunken hug.
And finally Darren of Big Brother/Chicken Tonight/Marjorie the chicken "fame'. Again though I didn't realise who it was and thought I actually knew him. I was working for Unilever at the time, who owned Chicken Tonight and he was hanging around reception. After a few minutes of chatting to him and him looking confused I realised I didn't know him at all. My colleagues were highly amused and I couldn't even blame wine that time.

Lynnikins · 11/09/2020 17:46

David Niven, back in 1975.
