Probably Graham Norton or Paul Merton. Also either Bobby or Jack Charlton but I'm ashamed to say I don't know which Blush Was very nice though, very charismatic and a gent.

liverbird10 · 10/09/2020 10:21

@MoonSauce I love how you can't remember anyone's name! Grin

unmarkedbythat · 10/09/2020 10:23

Apparently aged 3 I met and had a long conversation with the Prime Minister of the Bahamas about how much I disliked my new baby brother, but I am not sure whether this is actually true.

If by 'met' you mean served food and drink to, then:

Arnold Schwarzenegger
Madonna
Prince Harry
David and Victoria Beckham
Kanye West
Gwyneth Paltrow
Bob Geldof
Ronnie Wood
Michael Caine
Alexander McQueen
Rita Ore
Stella Mcartney
Cameron Diaz
Reese Witherspoon
Damien Hurst
And many Saudi Arabian princes, Russian Oligarchs and Greek billionaires

I'm practically an A-lister 😎 (in an apron and name tag)

liverbird10 · 10/09/2020 10:50

"Sean Bean's grandma"
We have a winner! 😂

ramarama · 10/09/2020 10:52

Quite a few B list over the years as it used to be part of my job, but separately from that I have weirdly now run into Bill Nighy on three separate occasions, in quite random places.

Chocness · 10/09/2020 10:52

Prince Philip
Roger Moore
Jessica Alba
The really posh guy out of Made In Chelsea 😁

bleuu · 10/09/2020 10:54

Kim Kardashian
Kanye West

Happyadventurer · 10/09/2020 10:56

Quite a few over the years starting with Mr Pastry. Used to go and watch the Who before they were famous so met them (if anyone can ever say they ‘met’ Keith Moon -there but not there if you get my drift)
John Cooper Clark - lovely fella
Luke Wright - super nice
Frankie Howard. No comment.
Maddie Prior - singer from Steeleye Span. Really sweet lady.

Probably the most famous is Alice Cooper. Loved him.
The most infamous was Josef Fritzl. Complete arse. I refused a drink and he got spiteful.

Coldilox · 10/09/2020 10:58

Jerry Springer
Gillian Anderson
Judi Dench
David Cameron

SVRT19674 · 10/09/2020 10:58

Dolph Lundgren who played the evil Russian boxer in the Rocky II movie. Utter bastard with no redeeming features. I think he was playing himself.

Coldilox · 10/09/2020 10:59

Oh, Ralph Fiennes.

And I sat next to Glen Hoddle at a football match when he was England Manager

ScrambledSmegs · 10/09/2020 11:02

I met Terry Pratchett at a book signing as well, but was so star-struck (and a touch hungover, student days) that I think I merely gibbered at him. He was lovely to me.

I am Not Cool.

Happyadventurer · 10/09/2020 11:02

@Coldilox

Jerry Springer Gillian Anderson Judi Dench David Cameron
I forgot about David Cameron. Not sure I can say I actually met him but he walked a short way with our contingent after we had passed the Cenotaph one remembrance day. I was impressed with how genuinely interested in us he was. Seemed nice.
Deadringer · 10/09/2020 11:03

So many people have met Colin Firth it's not fair, i am obsessed with him. 😭 will someone please tell me that he is lovely then all will be well in my pathetic world.

GingerBeverage · 10/09/2020 11:05

Chris Martin many years ago before the mega fame - polite and cheery
Ben Folds several times (we lived near each other) - absolutely lovely, charming and funny
Alan Rickman - great
Dom Joly - not pleasant at all, would avoid in future
I did meet Dave Grohl but he was extremely drunk and Taylor was apologising for him

Bluefishing · 10/09/2020 11:07

I guess Princess Di is the most famous. We shared a lift for a few seconds, she giggled a lot as her security guard was a bit annoyed I got in! Partly I was being a klutz and partly I thought being told not to get in the lift by other security guy was a practical joke. I didn’t see her until actually in the lift and she indicated to security I was ok to stay.

B Geldoff (flirty)
Manolo Blanik (sp? the shoe guy, very charming, polite and over the top)
The Ramones (polite and friendly)
ZZ Top (exhausted)
Fish from Marilion (sp?) down to earth
Cindy Crawford (in the 90s, much thinner than her pictures suggested, I was shocked)
Alan Rickman (queuing at a cash till, I was a big fan but left him in peace)
Dustin Hoffman (bumped into him coming out of a house in London, he was beaming and tiny, it felt like if anyone had said let’s go for a drink he would have said why not!)
Jude Law with one of his children (very petite man, a 10 year old could take him)
Jerry Hall (in a restaurant, very glamorous, I remember a lot of legs and she did not mind people staring)
Ian Hislop (next table in a restaurant, did not want to be looked at, earnest, in a rush)
Joan Collins (in a loo, never seen so much makeup on a person but she was absolutely lovely and we had a tiny chat)
Paul McCartney (bookstore, he was doing a signing and I had no idea at the time, he is pretty ordinary looking and quiet, not a nice memory as his security were so heavy handed, I was happy browsing in my lunch break and they made me so uncomfortable I left)

IntermittentParps · 10/09/2020 11:07

John Cooper Clark - lovely fella So nice to hear this. I love him.

IntermittentParps · 10/09/2020 11:09

The lift thing reminds me I met Joan Bakewell while we were both waiting for a lift.

We shared a little joke about waiting for it and did small talk once we got in the thing. She was utterly charming, and beautifully dressed. I was star-struck.

Fuckinellitsme · 10/09/2020 11:15

Johnny Depp
Jarvis Cocker
Nick Cave
