God Peacy annoying.
One case isn’t meant to automatically send everyone home. But so many schools are doing it.
Makes sense though. Many schools have a whole year bubble because of group work, lunch etc.
Many posters have already stated teaching staff are attached to more than one class at primary.
This is what is on the gov website
Any members of staff who have helped someone with symptoms and any pupils who have been in close contact with them do not need to go home to self-isolate unless they develop symptoms themselves (in which case, they should arrange a test) or if the symptomatic person subsequently tests positive or they have been requested to do so by NHS Test and Trace.
It's under prevention. If parents haven't read it, please do so now and start making plans for when your child cannot go to school. For many schools, the "bubble" is 90+ people. Until rates start to drop, there will be disruptions.
