Essentially she has gaslight,lied and assumed an identity that is not hers. In doing so,other candidates were denied opportunities,remuneration. She has assumed an identity and heritage that was not hers to assume

I get the feeling if she gave that interview now she'd be labelled "problematic" and be getting a pasting on twitter.

I disagree. It adds to the nuance of the discussion. Everyone agrees it’s wrong to appropriate race. However, as you’ve demonstrated, people get called names if they disagree that men can appropriate womanhood.

And why stop there? Stonewall think it’s ok for males who identify as women to be able to play rugby with and against women. So why can’t a 40 year old male identify as a 16 year old girl? Do you mean those people who think claiming to be a race you are not is disgusting? Assuming by yrabsphobia you are talking about gender, please please tell us why this is different?

In fairness I have just seen someone explain it in detail on twitter. Apparently its different because the sex-based on is dysphoria and your body does not behave as your brain expects it to. Which all sounds valid but doesn't explain why the vast majority of trans women seem to want to keep their working penises.

And that’s not explained by the fact dysphoria is no longer a required part of gender identity. Trans people who believe it is are labelled “truscum”. Everyone else says you don’t have to be dysphoric. So again, we are back to just identifying, like race and age.

Please explain to me how a white person identifying as black is different to a man identifying as a woman? I am genuinely interested in thoughts on this.
