id like to think that when i come on here for a quick chat im talking to other women. ive noticed some men on here and thats actually putting me off. some of the topics we talk about are very intimate. i cant understand why men would want to come on this website, maybe the name should be changed to parentnet. aibu.

Apparently only for DaddyJ sillybilly, perhaps they are in collusion

ScottishMummy · 10/10/2007 23:18

im offsky for a kip before i am forced to arise again and submit to the brutalising forces of paid employment. i shall watch this space

2hot2cook · 10/10/2007 23:18

ChantillyLace · 10/10/2007 23:19

Pan · 10/10/2007 23:20

2hot - just let it goooooooo!

ChantillyLace · 10/10/2007 23:20

but don't forget scottishmummy that you are being paid less than men! Goodnight, I'm off too so 2hot/DaddyJ can rest in peace.

DaddyJ · 10/10/2007 23:23

Phew, glad it's all cleared up.

This thread could have got really unpleasant!

ScottishMummy · 10/10/2007 23:23

2hot2cook - you continue to digress from untenable OP, incidentally any altercations etc at work, or if (god forbid) a man talks to me are you there to "fight for women" like me...or are you busy lurking on MN

LoRayningNewtsAndFrogs · 10/10/2007 23:26

Damn, I just spat my OJ out all over the screen. Did 2hot seriously say sillybilly should apologise to her??

Wasn't he a 'jerk' for pitying her after she claimed to be drinking her sorrows away???

LoRayningNewtsAndFrogs · 10/10/2007 23:26

What twice??

lol sorry just had to look before signing off!

xXxamyxXx · 10/10/2007 23:30

she did

ScottishMummy · 10/10/2007 23:30

another diversionary ploy to divert away from intellectually inept OP, insult another MN in hope it detracts from OP overall flaws - nope not working

LoRayningNewtsAndFrogs · 10/10/2007 23:30

Well, I really meant it.

ChantillyLace · 10/10/2007 23:31

Think I'm going to start an AIBU for being embarrassed at 2hot/DaddyJ's treatment of a new male member of MN.

barnstaple · 10/10/2007 23:32

YABU - very.

Set up a wimmin site of your own where you can all burn your bras together and bitch about men on yer own.

DaddyJ · 10/10/2007 23:34

Chantilly, whose male member have I been mistreating?!

Please explain, I shall make amends!

ChantillyLace · 10/10/2007 23:36

If you have been mistreating a 'male member' then that is entirely your own business but probably best on a different site 2hot, er I mean DaddyJ

lilibet · 10/10/2007 23:39

CAn't beleive this is stillgoing................

2hot, I have argued with you and asked you to stay as I think you will be an asset to mumsnet with your ability to fight your corner and your sense of humour which has reared its head form time to time on this thread.

Can I now offer you a bit of advice, - stay away from this thread

You aren't doing yourself any favours, you have a lot to offer on other threads and this needs to die a natural death

let's leave it now please, everyhting that can be said on this subject has been said ands everal times over

___

In case you hadn't spotted it, that's me getting firm!!

ArmadilloDaMan · 10/10/2007 23:43

2hot there is something you need to learn if you are oging to stay on MN.

9 times out of 10 aibu threads end up with OP getting upset because everyone thinks they are being unreasonable.

If you want it to be rhetorical/everyone to agree with you, don't ask 'aibu'.

ok

DaddyJ · 10/10/2007 23:45

There you go, Chantille, bit of humour goes a long way.

ChantillyLace · 10/10/2007 23:47

oh I have bags of humour and the name is Chantilly not chantille 2hot

Night to all, definitely off this time as have to be up for work.

Kevlarhead · 10/10/2007 23:49

"Incidentally, the support for us 'weirdo mumsnet men'
(quoting that fish) has been humbling. Thank you blush "

Uh... yeah. Second that.

"We are not scary, I promise!"

Second that too.

And I'm definitely not a pervert... honest.

ItsNotOnlyTheGoodBits · 11/10/2007 00:09

I have been watching this thread over the last few days and hoped it had died. As it hasn't I would just like to say...

OMG!
OMG!
OMG!
And...oh yes OMG!

2hots posts are getting ruder and more offensive. I had thought they couldn't get worse from the 'men who take an interest in their kids are not manly and poofs' strain we had to start off with. But oh they have got worse...much worse. Anything that has been thrown back at you is only in response to your comments.

The op was outrageous from the beginning. IME men aren't interested in women's personal info in rl so I doubt they would be interested on here either.

Damn! I've just given away that I talk to men. But as it's not always about personal stuff (depending on how close a friend) does it make it better?
Probably not as there is one man I do tell all to - DH!

Pan · 11/10/2007 00:12

"'men who take an interest in their kids are not manly and poofs'"

is that a quote/paraphrase?? from 2hot?
