id like to think that when i come on here for a quick chat im talking to other women. ive noticed some men on here and thats actually putting me off. some of the topics we talk about are very intimate. i cant understand why men would want to come on this website, maybe the name should be changed to parentnet. aibu.

It's a F4J 5th columnist!

ScottishMummy · 10/10/2007 22:45

are you offsky to "fight for women like me"

cheerie bye then

LoRayningNewtsAndFrogs · 10/10/2007 22:46

I stand by weird, at least you arent 'exactly where the men want you'

And NO it wasn't a harmless thread, you insulted male members of mumsnet and in fact, our husbands and partners, didn't you say they wedre poofs?? and unmanly??? or was it unmacho???

Get a grip love.

LoRayningNewtsAndFrogs · 10/10/2007 22:49

Oh btw, maybe you should check out this thread about people you "pity"

Pan · 10/10/2007 22:49

2hot - don't go. MN has too much to offer. Just because some posters get a bit carried away when they see an easy target, don't turn your back on the whole shooting match.

Why not leave this thread alone. Completely. And get stuck in on other threads. I'm a MN chappie, and do see that oyu are merely expressing an opinion, albeit an unpopular one. But big deal. As someone else has said, rise above the petty insults and don't let them spoil MN for you.

ChantillyLace · 10/10/2007 22:50

The ones that aren't intelligent enough to fight their corner always f* off inb the end.

Personally I think it was a rude, offensive thread from the start and that's the reason I stuck with it because I couldn't believe someone of this decade and planet actually thought that way!!!!!

LoRayningNewtsAndFrogs · 10/10/2007 22:55

I just fought back!!!! lol

2hot2cook · 10/10/2007 22:55

PAN; thanks.

OP posts:
ChantillyLace · 10/10/2007 22:56

Methinks Pan and 2hot may be one and the same!

LoRayningNewtsAndFrogs · 10/10/2007 22:58

Or she just pulled

Sorry that was immature.

DaddyJ · 10/10/2007 22:59

2hot2cook, you have shown some real stamina and a great sense of humour
on this thread, it would be a shame if you turned your back on MN now.

I have followed your thread from the start and what I still don't
understand is: how can a tiny group of maybe a dozen men annoy you
on a forum with at least 800-2000 active female members (my wild guess)?

Why don't you stick around and read our posts, get to know us.
We are not scary, I promise!

ChantillyLace · 10/10/2007 22:59

lmao LoRayn, she couldn't possibly have pulled because DH would never allow it!

ChantillyLace · 10/10/2007 23:01

Sense of humour DaddyJ? Not sure she had that. I don't usually let people get me fired up on here but she was an ignorant pain in the arse!

ScottishMummy · 10/10/2007 23:02

2hot2cook - participated in a robust, narrative that did not support her ramblings, and tangential staements. easy target? she set herself up to be bombarded franky. petty insults eh does that mean disagree with content..well 2hot2cook dished 'em up too, so in no way is she the belittled bullied little miss forced to retreat

remember she Started this with the OP

and yes its is just chat room, start again another topic pick it up elsewhere

2hot2cook · 10/10/2007 23:03

daddyj; thank you.
you know, its actually the men on here that have been the nicest to me. hope we met up again soon.

OP posts:
ArmadilloDaMan · 10/10/2007 23:03

to be fair 2hot (as I think you are probably still lurking) you have implied that the women on here who do have male friends are sluts, and that they throw themselves at men.

The insults weren't all one way The start of this thread alone (that you wanted to get rid of existing male posters) was rude and today you have become very insulting.

You have also insulted posters and made assumptions about their lives, and about their partners.

You have been very insulting to Eric and SillyBilly amongst others.

And by the way there were men involved in getting votes/equal rights for women. It wasn't a solely female preserve.

DaddyJ · 10/10/2007 23:04

Incidentally, the support for us 'weirdo mumsnet men'
(quoting that fish) has been humbling. Thank you

The only reason why I am here is to learn from other parents
and support them. And this is by far the best forum for this
purpose on the interweb. Believe me, I have looked!

ArmadilloDaMan · 10/10/2007 23:05

and funnily enough she is back

Monkeytrousers · 10/10/2007 23:09

Now this is confusing...

ScottishMummy · 10/10/2007 23:10

2hot2cook - still lurking, still digressing, still a moribund OP

Monkeytrousers · 10/10/2007 23:10

You seem to have talked yourself round all on your own 2hot - tune into the Mensroom - it's in the topic list.

What a turnaround!

2hot2cook · 10/10/2007 23:12

daddyj; i have said all along that i think the men on here are great. and here you are to prove it. im sorry if ive been rude, but when your "backs to the wall" you have to fight.

thanks for supporting me.

OP posts:
sillybilly2006 · 10/10/2007 23:14

I have been told to return forthwith as there are apologies abound!

ChantillyLace · 10/10/2007 23:16

Oh 2hot you are the talk of MN. Is that what you wanted to achieve?

'I have said all along on here that I think the men are great' eh???

I must have missed that, thought the men were the problem!

A little conused 2hot????

DaddyJ · 10/10/2007 23:17

2hot, it's alright, these things happen all the time around here!

Part of the entertainment value;
but I hate to see promising MNers leave because of that.
